3.4 stars. Hole in the wall offering crunchy potato tacos.

Menu: They have a small selection off beef (ground or shred, chorizo) and potato tacos. Along with a burrito and some quesadilla options.

Food: I got the plain potato tacos which were just average. It felt like a minimally seasoned mashed potatoe with Taco Bell toppings (lettuce, cheese) but the pickled onions were good. The salsa (rojo y verde) were decent. My friend got one of the ground beef taco and she like it better than their potato one. Their side rice was pretty good but it was expensive at $4.

Price: It’s around $4+ for a taco which can be expensive as it’s not a restaurant and it’s more of a order in a kiosk for takeout kind of place. But the taco is filled to the brim and pretty hefty.

Service: is great as the kind man who worked with was radiating positive energy. Really liked his customer service skills.

Accessibility: No parking (street only), in a shady part of the art district with no other nearby businesses. They have outdoor covered seating that is pretty loud due to their fan. Due to the setup, it doesn’t feel too sanitary.

TL;DR: I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for a great potato taco. I would try their other items...

The Hubbs and I took a little trip to Mei Wah beer house in Isleton and seen this place along the delta as we made our way to Sacramento. We decided to stop and try it out and boy oh boy are we happy we did. Absolutely the best tacos ever!

Like most street tacos they come with two tortillas, and I love how the outer tortilla of these tacos always has a nice little sear/crunch to them. Making it a nice sturdy taco to pick up and take a bite out of. We've tried the chicken which is shredded, juicy and full of flavor as well as the carne asada tacos which are also fire!! The meat is fresh, tender, and tacos are piping hot/fresh. The salsa can be on the spicy side if your like me and don't prefer spicy, but it's nothing I couldn't handle, I actually love the flavor it adds to the taco and you can wash it down and cool it off with one of their ice cold drinks they have to offer.

If your in the area and see the truck try it out and if/when you stop get the taco, but don't just order one because trust me you'll wish you ordered more after trying it and once you've tried it, one will never be enough (wink). I've got to admit that at times the Hubbs and I have actually gone out of our way to enjoy their food...

This spot caught me off guard. Like really? How good can hard shell tacos get? Well let me tell you something! This place is really good. All the food feels like it's high quality and fresh. The hard shell is not greasy at all! Has this unexplainable crispy but soft exterior you get a crunch with every bite but it also isn't rigid or dry. The meat or potato they use as filling is well seasoned, great options for vegetarians and possibly even vegans with the exclusion of the cheese. The lettuce isn't too much it's the perfect amount and the cheddar is good quality cheddar you can feel it in the texture and sharpness of flavor. The sauces! YOU NEED THE SAUCES they are not stingy with them at all. Good flavor on both green and red sauce, the green is the spicier sauce but it's not unbearably spicy it's a good balance of flavor and spice. The space is cool, nothing to complain about; you order on a little tablet outside and they call your name once your order is ready. Definitely a place to check out this is like what Taco Bell wanted to be but could never! Looking forward to going back and trying either their burrito...

Here’s a great spot for taco Tuesday, there’s a location, downtown LA, and in Woodland Hills at the Topanga Village shopping center. Definitely get that chorizo, bean and potato taco, loaded up with their salsa, i liked the red. If you want to keep them crunchy, eat them on the spot, otherwise they come wrapped in foil, which will make them a little soggy by the time you get back home or at work. Loved these! @chuystacosla . . . . . #tacos #tacotuesday #chuystacosdorados #tacosdorados #dtla #downtownla #dtlafood #dtlafoodie #woodlandhills #sfvfoodie #sanfernandovalley #westfieldtopanga #losangeles #lafood #lafoodie #reels #reelsinstagram #foodreels #tacoreels #instafood #besttacos #besttacosintown #bestfood #bestfoodfeed #grubwithgreg #grubwithgregapproved
