Millwick by Marvimon — Attraction in Los Angeles

Millwick is seriously the most gorgeous venue that my husband and I have set foot on. Greenery is all around that once you set foot, you forget that you are in the Arts District! There are so many unique features about this venue that you will not get at any other venue that you come across such as the magnet wall which many couples use for the seating chart and you can get as creative as you’d like for it, we did polaroids of all our guests and it was a huge hit! We also used the magnet wall to put additional bar menus on and it was super easy, print a menu and put some magnets to hold it in place and you are set! Another one I highly suggest you take advantage of is ordering a customized branding press for your special day and you can brand it at the bar, we did this during our design session and it was a lot of fun aside from us keeping our fingers crossed that it will brand properly, but we worked with Clare to get some test runs prior til we did the actual one and it came out pretty well! Floor plan you will have flexibility of designing but Dana or Clare will give you a draft of it based on your guest count and you can tweak it to your liking, but also listen to their advice because they will know what it takes to get those perfect photos. My suggestion is trust the process and ask as many questions or run as many thoughts you have with Clare and Dana and your wedding coordinator, they’re experts at supporting you and your vision! I loved that my husband and I got to run all of our random thoughts of our vision with them from testing our backdrop to see how it would look to providing us guidance on how many bud vases we should be having per a table since we were doing family style to the color napkin choice, etc.

If you want your best furriend to be part of your ceremony too, I say GO FOR IT! Just send Dana and Clare some photos of your dog and see if they approve it and all you have to do is follow the rules of the dog always being on a leash and having to leave immediately after the ceremony. We were super grateful that your dog was part of our special day and it really made some priceless photography memories that we will cherish forever! He was also probably more popular than we were on our wedding day haha.

My husband and I have so much love for the Marvimon team, especially the Site Managers, Dana, Clare, and Anika, along with our Wedding Coordinator, Eunice you all have truly made our wedding planning experience so so so seamless and fun that we will probably be emailing the email chain for fun just so that we can keep the conversations going! We can’t wait to be back at the venue...

We did our due diligence and looked at a ton of wedding venues, but we always knew that Millwick was "the one." As longtime DTLA residents, we knew we wanted a space that reflected all our favorite elements of the city--skylines, lush high-drama greenery, this thrill of discovering something gorgeous behind an unassuming-looking front door. Millwick is somehow raw and super chic all at once, and we were excited that we wouldn't have to decorate it too much because the space is so beautiful on its own. Obviously it was stunning, but truly the best part about having our wedding at Millwick was working with Dana and the Marvimon team. Everyone is a pro. From a robust Preferred Vendors list, quarterly open houses (helpful for bringing our photographers), to design meetings and vendor walk throughs, Marvimon (Millwick's parent company) has systems in place that ensure success. Dana and Clare always answered our emails within 24hours; they predicted our questions and proactively answered them; they helped us land on a perfect floor plan for our vision; they connected us with our coordinator and made sure our wedding was executed to perfection; and, they made us feel so good and excited about the whole process. We felt completely confident that our day would be executed to perfection. Every vendor that we spoke to and booked was very excited to work at Millwick again because the team is so organized. Some of their House Rules add a few line items to the budget (mandatory valet, coordinator, etc.), but those additions were key to making the day as smooth as possible for guests, and were absolutely worth the extra fee.

10/10!!! This venue is absolutely gorgeous. The street it's on and it's unassuming exterior help give a real "WOW" moment when you enter the space. Millwick is a real stunner and we felt that magical feeling every-time we stepped inside; it never wore off. Expect compliments from everyone. I don't think I have every said "thank you" so many times in one day or ever will again.

But beauty alone is not why you should book this venue; the Millwick team is the true star here. Dana and her team made us feel taken care of from start to finish. They are organized, communicative, clear, and you just need to see their staff photo once to know that they are also fun to talk to and a pleasure to work with. Planning a wedding is hard and stressful but this team made us breathe so much easier and in the weeks leading up to the wedding we didn't have a single worry about the venue.
