Cinnaholic — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I am so disappointed in Cinnaholic today. I ordered two cinnamon rolls (one with apples, one plain with a side of vanilla icing) from Uber Eats on 8/17 around 8 PM as my birthday cake since I am extremely allergic to dairy and these rolls are vegan. I didn't open the bag when they arrived. I just put "them" in the refrigerator until this afternoon when it was time to celebrate. It was 40 hours after the delivery was made. The bag was still sealed with my receipt attached. When I opened it, there was one cinnamon roll with icing (not vanilla) in the bag. I called Cinnaholic, explained the situation, and was told by Manny that its an UberEats issue so call them. I asked if a credit could just be applied to my Cinnaholic rewards account. He told me "I already said call UberEats. It was a coworker of mine that messed up." I said, "Exactly. UberEats did nothing wrong." No response. Just hung up. I did end up calling UberEats and they did refund the order; but, it was the sole responsibility of Cinnaholic to bag the right order in the correct customer's bag, and give the correct order to the UberEats driver.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AT SUNSET STORE WOULD GET A 1 STAR: This is not the first time I have received terrible customer service from this location and it makes me so mad. The employees don't care at all that the founders worked so hard and invested so much just to get Cinnaholic up and running. Before COVID, it was great. Since, I don't think anybody that works there cares about people.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AT BREA STORE WOULD GET A 5 STAR: Unfortunately this location is closed due to the pandemic and really terrible choice of location.

THE CINNAMON ROLLS WOULD GET A 5 STAR REVIEW: I remember watching the episode on Shark Tank and hearing gourmet vegan cinnamon rolls. I was thrilled when they opened this location in Los Angeles. The cinnamon rolls are amazing. PLEASE NOTE: The ingredients change occasionally. Be careful if you have nut allergies. The pie crumble changed recently and now contains nuts...unless the employees the last 5 orders have put nuts on the cinnamon roll as well.

Don't get too attached to any certain roll. Things get put on and off the menu frequently. I think this is to get people to create a custom roll and pay more per added ingredient. For example, the Abuelo's Pie Cinnamon roll came with Caramel icing, apples, pie crumble and caramel sauce. The Abuelo's Pie Cinnamon Roll was $6.50. The customized roll built the same way is $9.35.

The cinnamon rolls are great! Just wear headphones so you don't have to hear the negativity from the employees. I'm sorry that such a good restaurant for gourmet cinnamon rolls is being run into the ground with such bad...

This is one of those vegan places you don't need to think of as a vegan place, but just a delicious place (that happens to be vegan)! My sister is vegan as was visiting from out of town and learned about this place from one of her favorite youtubers.

It has clear signage out front, but the free parking behind the building didn't have any signs, so that was a little confusing. We were fine, so it's great that this has plenty of parking... I just wasn't 100% sure at the time if I was supposed to park there or not (pretty sure I was). There are no tables inside, so that kind of stinks. But there are a few tables outside, which we took advantage of. There wasn't many people there so we were fine... but I do highly recommend this place get more tables.

Now for the food... you order a cinnamon bun and pick from a TON of frostings! It was amazing how many flavors they had! They'll let you sample them too. Then you add your toppings and there you have it. Everything is vegan, and tasted amazing (and I'm not a vegan). So this is a really great place to take your vegan friends when they come in town and you want some dessert or a snack outing that's something a littler different...

Last night I was craving for Cinnabons! I decided why not place an online order via ubereats since it’s nearby. I ended up customizing two of my orders and placed an order from their menu, the sticky bun roll. The toppings and Cinnabon itself was warm, fluffy and plentiful (thank you). However, the only problem was that I never received my third Cinnabon which was the sticky bun roll. I was upset about that the least thing they could’ve done was substitute the sticky bun roll for a mini bon. I would’ve been satisfied but they didn’t inform me nor the Uber driver. I had to contact ubereats for a refund which I didn’t plan on doing. Other than my missing order I highly recommend checking this place out. P.s the cream cheese frosting, brownie bites, all types of nuts + chocolate, caramel sauce on any order will leave your mouth open for more!!! I will be coming back very soon...
