Dined here the other night and loved the atmosphere, cocktails were sublime, food was lovely. Was here for a birthday party and itās a cute little quaint spot, but I had a major issue with there not being allergy warnings on the menu, nor did the server ask the table if any of us had any allergies. Our friend ordered for us so not sure if he asked him on the side but either way, one of the dishes had nuts in it, which was followed by me having severe allergic reactions. After I took a couple bites of a dish, I asked one server if they had nuts in it and she said it did, I told her Iām allergic, and then I ran to the bathroom. She didnāt seem alarmed and she, nor our server checked on me the whole night to see if I was okay. Thank god Iām not anaphylactic otherwise it would have been really bad. Seems like the service here needs some training. They didnāt comp the item off the bill either. Otherwise food is lovely, bartender at the front was great. Margaritas were amazing as well as the hamachi, and steak. Just wish I didnāt throw up my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeautiful space tucked in with an entrance off a back alley. We only got to experience the bar and not the restaurant because we had just had dinner but that didnāt stop us from trying out their bread and butter. Wow - it did not disappoint! The bread was so fresh and although it had a thick crust, it was not hard and it stayed crispy throughout. The butter was delicious and salty which made a great treat in between drinks. We had the Very Verde (not pictured), Fast Forward and Orange Velvet. The Orange Velvet tasted well, like boozy carrot juice and it was a refreshing and unique twist to a cocktail. Fast Forward was a bit too floral for me but it was fresh and crisp. The Very Verde was our favorite and we loved the dill salt on the rim. Overall would definitely come back to try the rest of the food and drinks because everything had such a nice presentation. The service was also very friendly and the ambiance was calm and cheerful. Wish we would have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDADA in Echo Park is one of those places you almost donāt want to tell anyone about, because then everyone will show up and ruin it. The vibe is amazing, the staff treats you like a regular, the pacing of the meal is somehow both relaxed and telepathically perfect, like they know exactly when youāre ready for another drink before you know youāre ready for another drink. The menu is thoughtful without being pretentious. Everything tastes like someone in the kitchen genuinely cares, like, not in a corporate āchef-inspiredā way, but āI grew up loving food and now Iām in my purposeā kind of way. Which is exactly who the owner Christine is from head to toe. Itās cool, itās warm, itās sexy without trying. Go on a date here. Go with your bestie. Or go...
