This is my second time going to this new Fatburger location in the Ladera Shopping Center. I was surprised to find out that Fatburger serves vegan shakes so I wanted to try a shake. I got the vegan Maui banana shake yesterday and it was fantastic. Thick, old-fashioned shake consistency and delicious flavor.
However, today I decided to go back and get the same shake. Not only did the shake take a super long time to make, the young woman who made the shake made it very thin and watery, and for a shake that costs $10, that's just not going to cut it.
I eat out at a lot of vegan places, being vegan, and I also can make a pretty good shake (thick) at home, if I wanted to, so I know it being thin and water this time had nothing to do with having vegan ingredients. It just wasn't made well. It was like night and day when compared to the quality of the shake I had yesterday. I don't want to make her feel bad as she is new at this new Fatburger location and she is probably nervous and doing the best she can. And I sympathize. But again, as a customer, I can't skimp on quality with a shake at this price point. Who would?
I hate to complain at restaurants, but I knew I couldn't just walk away with this watery concoction. So I looked for the manager but came across the actual owner of this Fatburger location. He was on site.
His name is Jason. I told him about the consistency of today's shake and of the shake I had yesterday and he immediately remedied the situation by going back and making another shake for me himself. I was pleased with his attention, transparency, and customer service. The new shake was great, just like yesterday's shake. Thick consistency (the way it should be), good flavor and a nice amount of vegan whipped cream.
So I'm giving this location 5 stars as I really appreciate great customer service and Jason's assistance. Every restaurant should strive for this type...
Read moreFirst impression is everything. Finally got a chance to go to this Fatburger. I normally go to Marina Del Rey, Venice or 24hrs on Santa Monica off the 405fwy. I bypass this one, although it's closer, and continue to go to the 3 mentioned above.
I ordered a large burger with everything on it cheese chili and some other things. Was pretty hungry being 10pm. Got my food and went home and there was few strands of lettuce on the burger. The burger looked like a cheap oversized McDonald's cheese burger. I did notice the the girl preparing my burger was looking around. Maybe this is why the burger was not prepared well.
Brought the burger back the the store. They fixed it over which it did look better and how the burger should be. When I ate the burger it didn't taste the same as the other Fatburgers. The milkshake wasn't on point either. I would love to support my local businesses but it's disappointing when I am speaking $20 for a meal and it not prepared well or taste great like other Fatburgers.
More training is need on cooking and preparing food. My best Fatburgers are Marina Del Rey and Venice. Never had an issue with them ever. Santa Monica/405 fwy is good for late night never had issue with them either. Very disappointing and I throw the food and shake away. Onion rings were on point and ate all of them. Hopefully over time you guys will get better if I ever decide to eat...

I came to this Fatburger at 6715 La Tijera Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045 to eat one of their signature burger.
I ordered the meal of Large Kingburger.
The menu had clear picture of each burger.
The burger didn't teast any special. It didn't taste better than any other burgers from other brands such as McDonald's, Jack In The Box, Fuddruckers burgers, Burger King, In-N-Out, Wendy's, Five Guys, Carl's Jr, etc. . .
With so many famous burger brands on the market, if you can not make a burger that taste even any close to- or better than those burgers, you have complelely missed the point! Very disappointed!
You guys at Fatburger are years behind when it comes to making burgurs that taste better than competitor.
The patty/patties weren't charbroiled resulting in no taste. There were also something very sour in the burger which had dominated and overtaken the taste (it might be mustard, lerish or pickles). Very disappointed!
The place has attractive layout and open space.
