Came late, way after work and a mixer- the other night after 10pm. They're OPEN LATE here.
Hasn't been crowded as it used to be from what I saw. Only 2 other Customers came in which was a relief as I'm not a fan of Crowds & Waits.
Plenty of Parking after hours. It used to be a really tight squeeze and sometimes a wait for Parking during Regular Business Hours when I used to frequent here often a couple years back, this was before this current viral thing affecting businesses, without mentioning the name here. OR it might be the new Homeless Situation next door, under The 405 which deters people. I can see people wanting to Order Uber Eats or whatever instead, to avoid it all.
Restrooms are Employees Only.
Restaurant was pretty clean except for the blight next door and Homeless making noise outside.
Good Customer Service from the Manager who took my order.
I went with a Turkey Burger Combo with Onion Rings and a Root Beer. I make Turkey Burgers at home all the time so, I wanted to try theirs. It was pretty decent. No complaints. Nothing to write home about but, very juicy. The meat had a little griddle ring around it so it gave me some comfort that this wasn't so much processed meat, lol. The Rings were so boring. I mixed the Ketchup with the Tapatío they have and added some pepper in also for an extra kick to it but, it still lacked that extra UMPHH to it.
Next time, I eat at Fat Burger, I'll just go with a Traditional Burger and maybe do The XXXL Challenge.
This Location is Not 24 HRS.
This is a Stand Alone FATBURGER, It's Not a FATBURGER/...
Read moreI ordered an impossible burger. I used to be a regular a few years ago, and I decided to drive by today since I was in the area. The staff was great, they served me right away. But the food, the impossible burger itself, was average.
They put a lot of relish onto the burger. I forgot to ask them for no relish, but that part was on me. However, the burger itself was slightly undercooked. It didn’t taste like the impossible burger, that I usually know, it tasted more like a veggie burger, which is another brand besides the impossible burger. And didn’t even looked different when I looked at the impossible meat, it looked more like a veggie burger shape as opposed to an impossible burger shape, where the meat tends to resemble more closely to the real thing. That’s why it cost a little more.
I understand that the bread tends to get a little soggy if there’s a lot of condiments on it. Which I did order everything on the burger. That I understand. And accept. However, there was way too much relish And relish juice on it, which made the burger very sweet, and along with the Slightly undercooked Impossible burger… I’ve had better from them. I understand some restaurants could have good days and off days. I’m assuming today was an off day. I was just not impressed with the taste today.
I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and hope that it was just an off day. I would just be careful for how long the meat is cooked, And not to put too much of a condiment to overpower the flavors...
Read moreWhen it comes to corporate burger chains, I've eaten at practically all of them in the greater L.A. area. At least I thought I had, until tonight, when I tried Fatburger. Let me start by saying that the Fatburger on Venice @ Sawtelle appeared dirty, old, and a bit off-putting. I started by ordering a Large Fatburger Combo. They were out of Lemonade, their Iced Tea tasted rancid, & when I got home, found out that their Pepsi Co. Soda Fountain was out of syrup. Their fries were greasy, limp, and actually tasted WORSE than In & Out (didn't know that was possible). Then we come to the Main Attraction, the Large (1/2 lb) Fatburger. By FAR, this is the Best Burger I've ever eaten! 5⭐s, hands down. Not Exaggerating! It was HUGE. The beef was perfectly seared, a little crispy outside, juicy & flavorful inside, with just the right seasoning. The produce was fresh and crunchy, the (big) bun toasted to perfection. My mouth is watering as I type. This is the burger that I've dreamed of. How have I been missing this all along. To sum it up, Run, don't Walk to your nearest Fatburger, to get one...
