It's Boba Time - LACC — Restaurant in Los Angeles

spent $22 for taro bobas that tasted like uber bland, deficiently sweetened nonfat milk slushees, absolutely NO taro flavor at all - anemic taro color should've clued me in.

the workers in the back look like they're actually hardworking albeit unhappy looking crew; nice friendly counter girl at the front.. for this reason alone i regret shelling out for the drinks but NOT the modest tip for the store crew.

it may be the policy of this specific store owner to bolster profit margins by way of cutting back on ingredients, assuring subpar bland products and unhappy no-repeat customers ergo the blame should not be placed on the hardworking crew.

taro bobas from other locations are rich with hints of coconut cream and full luscious taro flavor. seek them out instead bc i'm pretty sure this specific store would not elect to do better than their penny-wise dollar-foolish policy, continuing on to serve up their signature subpar bland and overpriced products. but yes, we dare you...

I've been wanting to come here for a while now. Finally last night my boyfriend and I were in the area so we decided too give it a try. We drove by and saw a line so we went and got food first then came back. The place was super clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. We ordered drinks that were on their most popular list. For me personally the strawberry coconut was not good. For some reason it reminded me of cottage cheese. And I am not a fan of cottage cheese. My boyfriend didn't really care for his cookies and cream either.

The only saving grace from here are the macarons. Oh my. The softest and most flavorful macarons that I have had in a while. So far the coconut flavor is my absolute favorite. These macarons are literally the best.

So last night i went to boba time and when i got there i forgot my mask at home. I asked them if i use my shirt to cover my face would that be okay. They replied with a very a aggressive tone, No you need to get out! No you need to leave! When i got back with a mask i ordered my drink… taro tea with boba blended. But i forgot to say blended. So when i asked him if they could blend it. He got very upset slammed his hands on the counter and grabs my drink and takes it to the back. Where i see the two men putting a scoop full of soapy water in my drink. At first I thought it was just more drink mix but when i left i could tell something wasnt right.
