First thing's first, if you ever show up during the day to eat, make sure you ask them for the lunch menu; they won't give it to you if you don't ask for it. They'll give you the dinner menu instead which is pricier. This tactic cost them one star.

Been here several times over the years. One of the first was in 2004 or so. A Persian/Italian restaurant was a concept I had never encountered before and it seems rather strange at first glance, but they make it work.

Just about everything they make here is a home run. The pizzas are very artisanal. The dough is toasty and has just the right amount of burn in the right places like what you would get in the old continent. Not too thick and not too thin. My wife says it's the best pizza she's had in this country.

The last time I was here my friend had penne pasta with a creamy pesto sauce and it was right on point. It was his first time in Jino's and was impressed. He's a picky eater.

I enjoy their shirazi salad and hummus. The last time I had it it was a little gritty but it is usually silky and smooth. Their baba ghannouj is smoky and flavorful.

You can't go wrong regardless of what you order. Whether it's persian rice, some sort of grilled meat or italian.

PARKING: the parking in the property is rather meager. It is free but there isn't much of it. Street parking is plentiful, though, and it shouldn't be an issue. Just be mindful of the signs because one time I parked on the street during a restricted hour because of the street sweeper and the stupid parking enforcement ...

The people working here are either lazy or just not completely there.. I ordered my food at 5:55 pm on grubhub, was told that it was coming at 6:42 pm, and it never came. So at 7:18 pm I called and very politely tried to find out what was going on and told them that my food was supposed to arrive 30 minutes before. I was told that my food was still there and that the driver was leaving right that very second to deliver my phone. At 8:16 I called again and told them I had been waiting 3 hours for my food. They then give me a lame excuse saying something about traffic when this place is only 5 MINUTES away from my house. They asked for my address and I gave it to them, then they said there was no order from me? They asked what I ordered then say that there wasn't an order. I told them I was currently looking at my grubhub receipt in my email and that there indeed WAS an order I place which again stated my food should've been here hours ago. So not only did they lie and say that they were on the way to deliver my food that was supposedly with them at the restaurant, but they claimed I never made an order right after. These people are unorganized and cannot handle maintaining a proper business. If you are hungry and plan on getting food delivered from here, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE because chances are your food may never come and they will claim that you never ordered anything. Absolutely ridiculous. 0/5 GET IT TOGETHER...

I really hate leaving bad reviews but I feel I must in this particular situation, I was really looking forward to eating here because I saw a lot of positive reviews but after eating my girlfriend and I were highly disappointed, we ordered the beef and chicken kabob and I ordered the chicken kabob and wanted to substitute the beef with shrimp and they said it’s an extra charge which I was completely fine with until I opened up my order and saw a shrimp kabob order over rice and a separate chicken kabob order not over rice, so they charged me for two separate dishes instead of accommodating my original order where I just wanted half shrimp and half chicken, also the basmati saffron rice was the most tasteless rice I’ve ever experienced. I was totally shocked and confused when my order came out to about $70 when the combination chicken and beef plate was $23 and the shrimp plate was $29. Kinda don’t understand why I would have been charge extra for doing half shrimp and half chicken when the chicken plate is $6 cheaper. At most I was expecting to pay $40-$50 (not including tip), not to mention had full intentions of dining in but with the incredibly small parking lot and the sketchy character’s surrounding the area we felt we couldn’t dine in in peace. I suggest don’t get the chicken kabob koobideh (ground chicken) I thought I was getting the chicken kabob boneless...

Update: Recent takeout order was delicious and Ray provided exceptional customer service. New photos added here. The Persian food at Jino's Pars is delicious! I tried the Beef Soltani Kabob, a combination of a skewer of barg kabob and a skewer of koobideh kabob, both well-done. The meat was perfectly well-done and still juicy as you can see in the picture attached to this review. The rice was fluffy and surprisingly low salt/low butter. Of course, if you love butter like I do, you can always fold some butter into your rice. This dish comes with a choice of shirazi salad or lentil soup. I chose the shirazi salad - it was packed with flavor and herbs. I also ordered the maust o moosir, Greek yogurt and elephant garlic, and it was the best maust o moosir I have had in a long time (other than my mom's because my mom makes the best Persian cuisine in the world)! The meal is served with complimentary hot pita bread and butter. Portions are excellent and easily shareable. Service was amazing. Mohsen was the best host and Antonio ensured that every request was addressed. Thank you, Mohsen and Antonio! Ambiance was great, open floor plan, easy to walk around, classical music playing in the background. This is a great place to come solo, as a couple, or with family or friends. I highly recommend Jino's Pars for excellent Persian food and customer service!

We came to visit friends in Los Angeles and they suggested we come here. While here we noticed a family celebrating a birthday party. The restaurant itself is the perfect dimly lit atmosphere to host your date night, birthday party, or friend reunions. We all three found the combo chicken and beef Koobideh to be most appealing and were satisfied especially with the portion size. The wait staff were very friendly but definitely busy and didn’t come to our table as often as I’d like for refills but I understand sometimes business is overstretched. Also I was very interested in trying the Shirazi Salad but unfortunately they were out and was only offered Lentil Soup. The dessert that was recommended by staff was a nice treat. Interesting take on Baklava. I would like to come again and try something else next time I’m in LA.
