Onescape coffee is a truly an escape in the middle of koreatown. They truly stand out from all of LAs saturation of coffee shops by just doing every single thing right. You can see the attention in detail in everything - The great use of space in their furniture / seating arrangements, the use of quality authentic ceremonial matcha, carefully curated coffee beans, the fact that their coffee grinders and espresso machine are all one of a kind and imported from Italy, their unique drinks and ability to customize anything and their seemingly always clean and gorgeous renovated restroom (not kidding one of the prettiest bathroom I’ve ever seen in or outside of a coffee shop). The space more resembles an art gallery - the design is impeccable and just absolutely stunning. They have delicious pastries and have a cute shelf in the back of the cafe with unique and cute coffee cups you can use if youre dining in - how eco friendly and cute is that?! I’ve been here several times and the employees are super helpful and patient with customers and seem to really know their stuff. The owner is super warm, sweet and gorgeous and you can tell she’s really put in the time and done her research to do things right. Most businesses have a lot of kinks to figure out in their first few months of opening but I really couldn’t find anything wrong with Onescape. They even have a huge free parking lot! How rare is that in koreatown. I absolutely hate having to pay $3 more on top of my drinks just...
Read moreAs an ardent coffee aficionado, I frequently find myself exploring the most renowned cafes in search of that perfect brew. Today, I ventured into uncharted territory by ordering a cappuccino for the first time at this establishment, and I must say, it was nothing short of a revelation. The aroma was intoxicating—a rich, robust bouquet of freshly roasted beans that enveloped the senses with a warm, inviting embrace. The flavor profile was impeccable: a harmonious balance of velvety espresso, steamed milk, and a delicate foam cap that delivered a creamy, nuanced sip with every taste. Each note lingered exquisitely on the palate, a testament to the barista’s skillful craft. The ambiance of the cafe was equally captivating. The interior was a masterclass in sophisticated design—sleek lines, tasteful decor, and an atmosphere that effortlessly blended modern elegance with cozy warmth. Every detail, from the curated lighting to the thoughtfully arranged seating, created an environment that was as inviting as it was aesthetically pleasing. And then there was the restroom—a veritable standout, not just among cafes but among all the establishments I’ve frequented in Los Angeles. Pristine, stylish, and thoughtfully appointed, it elevated the experience to an unexpected level of refinement. This cafe is not merely a stop for coffee; it’s a destination for those who appreciate the finer nuances of both flavor...
Read moreService is wonderful, it is very clean, well lit, and the strawberry matcha is one of the yummiest I've tried (they make their own strawberry sauce). I love the idea of being able to pick one of the unique and kooky "for here" mugs/cups from the shelf in the back (near the bathroom). However, this isn't really a chill-with-your-book-and-coffee type of place.
While it has plenty of seating both in and out doors, the only truly comfortable pair of reading chairs and table are placed in what i suppose is the "quiet corner" but is actually a high traffic area. The bathroom is seperated by a wall where the shelf for the cups is located. That shelf is also directly behind one of the chairs. On the wall across from the chairs is the laptop desk station so you'll hear keys clacking and be an unwilling eavesdropper when students decide to sit there and talk over a joint project.
Overall, it's a pleasant shop with delicious specialty drinks and pastries but not what I'm looking for in a...
