Overall: 3.9/5 (Ubereats delivery)
The prices here are hard to beat for the amount of food. They gave 3 boxes of banchans + 3 fried mackerels but they could have given more meat. The food was also packed really well & delivered quickly!
LA Galbi Combo ($30.45) & Spicy Pork Bulgogi Combo ($25.95): The combos come with a mild seafood soft tofu stew (haemul sundubu-jjigae) & white rice. We didn't know since they don't list these items on Ubereats. It asked for the spice level which I thought was for the meat since under the description, it just list the meat name. The white rice was a bit dry & not the usual sticky rice we get. Would have been better if we got the purple rice. The tofu soup was really good & full of tofu. Really glad we got this since it was better than the sliced rice cake soup. The galbi & spicy pork were lacking umami so they were okay & blended in with the rest of the meal. The tofu soup had the most flavor out of everything for me.
Sliced Rice Cake Soup Special ($15.99): This was the least favorite entree for our group. The rice cakes were overcooked so they were mushy & breaking apart. The soup flavor was not good & looked white, maybe from the dissolving rice cakes. The only thing good...
Read moreWe’ve come here a few times to date and each dining experience at LA tofu house has always been pleasant. It is always the same lady who greets and seats us and she is such a sweet face to see. I always get the kimchi soon tofu soup. I love that they serve fried fish + a white pickled Napa cabbage as part of the banChan along with the other popular sides. YUM!
Very kind people, yummy food and the service is good. Whenever other tofu houses in the area get a little too busy or are a little too far out and we’re trying to satisfy our cravings, we drive right over. No wait times, solid dishes and appetizers, and friendly service. Highly recommend. It’s inside a plaza with easy parking + they validate if needed otherwise street parking is an option. This place opens incredibly late until 4am I believe....
Read moreSo many things wrong with this business. Waited over an hour for food, after having to remind them three times. They prioritized take out orders over actual dine in customers waiting for their food. After multiple tables including ours complained about the hour long wait, they still continued to take on more take out orders when they clearly didn’t have the capacity to do so. When the food came we were missing one persons order. Instead of prioritizing our last item on the menu to ensure everyone at our table could eat, they served food to other tables who came after us? One person had to wait an additional 15 minutes for her food, while the rest of the table finished eating. The worst part was that the tofu soup was terrible, it was watered down. Overall not a great restaurant, I wouldn’t waste...
