Came during their soft opening and everything purchased was 50% off.
Got the breakfast press panini with no cheese but added bacon and it was really good! A bit sour on the sauce though but it was still super good! It was also served with 3 side sauces - a sweet chili sauce (if you're filipino it's literally the lumpia sauce), a garlic aioli (which was a tad bit sour for my taste), and I think a chipotle sauce(? Not sure).
I then got the Café de Lala Latte - which only comes in iced according to the cashier. Also as a side note, all drinks come in one size. The coffee tasted really good with a generous amount of creme at the top (felt like 1/4 of the cup!) Halfway into the drink i noticed the large amount of creme left so i mixed it into the coffee. However by the end of my drink I ended up with just creme so it's best to mix it into the coffee before consuming :) Also if you're into the little details like I am, the straws are heart shaped which was a super cute touch!
One concern I do have is how sustainable the cups are cuz theyre hard plastic. The cups themselves claim to be recyclable and BPA free but im not sure how accurate this is. I'm not sure if these are single use or if these are cups we can keep either. Or if we are able to brings these cups back into the café to reuse like Starbucks. I'm new to the La La Land franchise so I would like to see more on how sustainable these containers are.
I managed to get an inside seat as it was pretty warm out and I came just before peak hours it seemed. The whole café was super clean and felt nice to be at. The giant chandelier in the middle of the café was eye catching. I sat on the bench side of the table (iykyk) and struggled a bit with how i should position myself when eating. This is more of a personal complaint but the table felt just a little too far and slightly low so i had to scoot in to where just the end of my butt was on the bench. I think its best to sit on the chair if you like to have your plate closer to you.
My only complaint is that the service was a bit iffy but I'm saying this with an open mind as it is their soft opening and it looks like the batistas/servers were still getting used to everything going on. I was given my order at my table by a really nice server but was never checked up on afterwards. I tried calling over the same server (who passed by me several times) cuz i needed a napkin badly as the sauce and crumbs of the panini were getting all over me but i guess they didnt hear me? I was left brushing myself off of all the crumbs.
I also noticed the little club being built on the 2nd floor so there was a bit of construction going on during my visit. Overall super nice café, would come back again! Really looking forward to how the café does...
   Read moreUPDATE 9/03/25 I thought to update my review since one of the employees sent me a personal message regarding my original review which I think is completely unprofessional and possibly against their policy, she didn't message to try and figure out what went wrong with my experience she sent a personal message to try and tell me how I should and should not feel very combative and how I should change my opinion and accused me of being a "grown man" " judging young girls" when in fact I am a female, not once did she ask what actually took place. I will be contacting corporate I also think one of their significant others a man named Nick they also had private message me on their behalf. All you have to do is go through their 1star reviews and you can see all the complaints they get from different people from all walks of the world about the baristas and their customer service and how rudely they treat people based of their appearance. I understand the location is a very nice area and if you don't look like you belong in it they will treat you as so. So once again 3star on the food because of the flies 1 star on the service. 9/02/25 REVIEW : overall we love LALALAND itâs one of my familyâs favorites, the grove location is the best location as far as customer service and the magical experience, but the location on 3rd has terrible customer service itâs a bunch of groggy workers who take no time with their appearance but seem to judge other peoples, they are very stingy about the merchandise, obviously when there is a theme people come for the themed cups and bags but the workers are so busy hiding and stealing the merch and stashing it in the back that they scold customers for wanting a themed bag or napkin. Just remember this is a minimum wage job your working you donât own the company the company would replace you faster then the merch sales out if need be. If I pay for food and drinks I should be able to have as many napkins or straws as i please. Make sure to not judge people by their appearance you never know who you are serving.    Read moreHave been to this location twice, once on a weekend when it was busy and once on a weekday when it was absolutely empty. The interior is so nice and the matcha was so good! The only downfall is the customer service first time we came it was packed but we placed an online order and when it was ready for pick up my bf went to the pick up counter where no one was standing and there was 3 employees behind the counter who all saw him but didnât help. One girl specifically was standing right in front restocking the straws pretending he wasnât there until finally she helped him after like 5 mins of ignoring. Second time i went it was so empty since it was a weekday. I went up to the pick up counter and there were two blonde girls and a brunette huddled in a circle talking and laughing. I was just standing there for a few minutes waiting for one of them to acknowledge me while my drinks sat behind the counter already made. I think what was even their manager or lead came up to them and told one girl to take her break soon and then left and they still kept talking đ meanwhile i was just like đ§đœââïž
Update: Just gave this place a THIRD chance on 5/19/25. Same BS still, went to pick up my online order it was made wrong I stood at the pick up window for like 5 mins waiting to be helped everyone ignored me as usual. I finally walk around the building to go inside and see a white man go to the pick up window i was just at and get helped immediately when i was straight up ignored by three workers LOL.
