I woke up early and the weather was absolutely gorgeous so I searched for a breakfast spot in walking distance to my hotel and LPQ had awesome reviews. It was a quick walk from the Courtyard Hotel and had a beautiful outdoor courtyard with lots of tables. Unfortunately there wasn’t an empty spot and the estimated weight was more than 10 minutes so I ate inside. To dine inside you have to have your vaccination card and ID.
Everyone was very friendly and had smiles and appeared to enjoy their job, loved it! It was pretty empty inside so I had my choice of where to sit and sat at a table for two that allowed me to see outside. Lots of options for lunch or breakfast and I believe the waiter said breakfast and lunch are both served all day. My favorite meal is breakfast so I decided to try one of the omelets, the mushroom and goat cheese omelet served with pesto sauce, rustic bread, and a side salad (total $14). It would have been lovely to have different mushrooms in the omelet, although the portabellas went very well with the pesto sauce. No hot sauce was needed, the sauce was the perfect finish to the omelet. The salad was very fresh with a light and delicious dressing, I could have eaten an entire bowl. I also enjoyed the bread served with butter and orange marmalade. I also purchased a turmeric latter with oat milk $5.50 and a vegan blueberry muffin $4. Total bill with tax was $25.73, not including gratuity.
Loved the vibe of the place and really enjoyed my omelet. I would not order the latte or muffin again. The muffin wasn’t moist and the latte had a soapy taste to it, maybe it was the oat milk, not sure but it was not good. The service was okay, my waiter Max started out Awesome and then he totally disappeared and didn’t check on me, my water glass wasn’t’ filled, and I had to ask for my check. It was really strange.
I definitely recommend LPQ and would stop by if I’m in...
Read moreThe main issue with this specific location is their service and their lack of consistency. I order the same meal almost every time and there’s always something wrong with it. If I were to point out every time there was an issue I’d have to tell them every time I pick up my food, but I’m not their manager nor their babysitter so here is this review. Whether it is the fact that they don’t give me dressing, don’t give me a lemon, don’t add the bacon on a turkey bacon tartine or give me cold soup. There is always something wrong. Today when I ordered and asked for the soup extra hot, the person taking my order smirked like me telling them extra hot doesn’t make a difference. Or today when I ordered my soup, the cup is basically half full when I open it. Just disrespectful.
Overall, Always an issue with the food (if it was consistent it’d be good, but it’s not consistent so...
Read moreI came for the tomato soup but the waitress said they only have that Tuesdays and Thursdays. For the quality that this is supposed to be and the price, the food definitely disappointed. The egg was bland on the omelette. The ham was gross and old looking. The bread was not toasted and we were given some cold butter to eat with our cold bread. The waitress was kind of rude. She gave us DIRTY glasses of water with someone else’s lip stain.
And she didn’t even apologize.
She made a different lady near us upset and the vibe was just very uncomfortable.
To top it off, she brought the chalula and left it at our table without us even asking. She’s either racist or just a terrible...
