I was thoroughly impressed with their chicken (both boneless and bone-in), lamb shank, ghormeh sabzi, gheymeh, ash o mast, tah dig, and their complimentary salad. The interior looks renovated, tidy, and well-organized. There is a small outdoor area connected to the indoor space. There are two registers—one at the front and another at the back. You may need to use the back register for to-go orders. Pros: 1. Chicken: Both boneless and bone-in variations were fantastic—tender, well-cooked-n-seasoned. The generous portions of rice served alongside were equally satisfying. 2. Lamb Shank: A true highlight, well-cooked with a tender texture and served with a flavorful jus. Paired with baghali polo (available for an additional $3), it created a harmonious combination. 3. Ghormeh Sabzi & Gheymeh: Both stews exceeded expectations, offering rich flavors. 4. The ash o mast was another standout, showcasing the depth of their Persian culinary expertise. 5. Service & Timeliness: The food was ready on time, even on a busy weekend. The staff were friendly and accommodating, managing large gatherings seamlessly. Minor Downsides: 1. The stews and ash o mast were slightly oily (though still undeniably delicious). 2. The tah dig was over-fried, bordering on burnt. 3. They were short-staffed on the weekend, which caused delays in serving to-go meals, even though the food was ready. Overall: My overall experience was exceptional. The chef’s mastery and dedication to Persian culinary art are truly evident, making this a place I’d happily return to.

Shiraz Restaurant in Simi Valley offers a classic and elegant Persian dining experience with beautifully decorated interiors and white tablecloth service. One recent visitor shared a positive experience centered around one of the staples of Persian cuisine—Koobideh Kabob. The koobideh was exceptionally flavorful and juicy, grilled to perfection with that signature smoky aroma that Persian kabobs are known for. It was served over a generous bed of saffron basmati rice, with a grilled tomato on the side and a piece of warm lavash bread. The rice was fluffy, aromatic, and cooked just right, making it the perfect pairing for the seasoned beef kabob. The restaurant itself has a welcoming and quiet ambiance, ideal for both casual meals and special gatherings. The staff were courteous and attentive, ensuring water was always refilled and checking in without being intrusive. For anyone craving authentic Persian food—especially well-executed koobideh—Shiraz Restaurant is a reliable and satisfying choice in the area.

Food is really good I have to say, I've been a few times here whatsoever something to consider before you go is pricey lately. An average for 3 plates is $100.00 We Ordered (2)chicken Kabob plates around $40 for both and (1) Lamb Chops plate $38 one side order of Yogurt and one side of Shiraz Salad (Only Cucumber and Parsley came with no tomato) Order to go and they gave us an hour to be ready. It's a nice place to go to for a special occasion. They do count with a family-pack to go. I shoulda pick that if I would have known as an order to go. (Attached picture)

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 26 years, consistently spending over $100 per visit (not including the $10-$20 tip I always leave). I’ve always supported this establishment, but my experience with their new inexperienced “manager,” Reza, has completely ruined this place, for me and I'm sure for others as well. On Christmas Day, I politely asked if I could have some tadig with the $120 order I placed on just meat and rice, considering how much I’ve spent here over the years. Instead of treating me with respect, Reza was condescending and outright rude, making me feel as if I was "begging". Saying they always have a problem with me there. Who has a problem? Youre horrible treatment, or your ego? After all my loyalty, this is how they choose to treat me? It’s disgraceful and embarrassing.

I cannot believe this is how they allow someone like Reza to manage their front-of-house operations. If this is how they ridicule their most consistent customer, I can only imagine how they treat others who haven’t been as supportive. It’s truly shameful. As a Persian, I am embarrassed to share my heritage with someone like Reza.

While the food is good, the terrible service overshadows everything the hardworking chefs in the back strive to perfect. From now on, I’m taking my business to Sadaf, where I know I’ll be treated with the respect I deserve. Reza, you are a disgrace to hospitality, and this interaction speaks volumes about the poor management decisions of this establishment. What an unfortunate way to ruin what should have been a lovely holiday meal for someone who has been investing my time and money here for 26 years. How...

SHORT STORY: SERVED DROPPED FOOD ON FLOOR TO GUEST!

LONG STORY: The waiter dropped the kabob on the floor behind the guests back. He put it back on the plate, in the midst of that the guest turned around and saw the end of it. The oily spot on the floor was still visible. When the guest mentioned to the waiter that the kabob had fallen on the floor, the water didn't even apologize! He took the late and walked back. At this point I'm pretty sure he'll place it on someone someone else's plate!

I'LL NEVER EVER EVER EVER WILL PUT A FOOT IN THIS DISGUSTING ESTABLISHMENT! I'M GLAD MY DAD CAUGHT IT AND THE GUEST CAUGHT IT.

When I asked for have my grilled tomatoes to be well done, he says it's not possible. Wth? I've been ordering my grilled tomatoes the same way for my entire life - I'm 37 years old. Also, I've worked at Persian restaurants myself.

The water was either bald or super short and light colored (white? Grey?) hair, on the thin side, and probably in his 60s.

The hostess has a major attitude. I stepped in and she returned my hello but with an attitude. No smile, at least fake it - Especially I'd the guests isn't only being polite but friendly.

To top it off their food is average at best. Dined here many times because its proximity to my home. NEVER EVER AGAIN. And I'll assure you, I'll let everybody know of it.

This happened today the 1st of July at 8PM. PLEASE FIRE...
