Long story short, it was alright. However, you should ABSOLUTELY NOT under any circumstances order takeout. The food is much better in person. This place makes a mean bean donut, by the way (it's on the secret menu).

Short story long, I believe in giving every restaurant I try a fair chance and opportunity to impress me. So we went here to try the best dish here. The waiter recommended the Grilled Mackerel (20 minute prep time) and advertised it as "pretty good." While this waiter had a convincing smile, we decided to trust him halfway. So we ordered the chicken pad thai (an iThailian classic, to be sure), 2 oz cucumber sauce, and the Grilled Mackerel (20 minute prep time).

The first thing to come out is the 2 oz cucumber sauce. The colossal portion could keep my family full for minutes. I couldn't even finish it. Next came the chicken pad thai. Pretty standard stuff, the seasoning was well balanced, but I would have felt some severe second-hand embarrassment for the restaurant had they NOT gotten down their freaking chicken pad thai. Finally, the pork and beans out comes the Grilled Mackerel (20 minute prep time). And let me be straight up, the Grilled Mackerel (20 minute prep time) was nothing short of "iffy," I have no clue what the waiter was thinking recommending it to us. Regardless, I do like a meal that stares back at me while I'm eating it. Kind of annoying that the chef left the meat on the fish (lol), but after picking all the bones out, we could finally discard the flesh. The fins were a little soft, sickening if you ask me. Absolutely would not come back for mackerel dorsal fin. The bones were pretty bland and very awkward to actually chew and swallow. Pretty much the only redeeming part of the fish was its eyeballs. I'll be honest the Grilled Mackerel (20 min prep time) had prepossessing eyes, and they tasted equally as beautiful. However, the bean donut was fantastic. Frankly, the only reason I gave this place 4 stars was that 1. google will delete my review if I go any lower, and 2. the bean donut was BOMB. It's not on the main menu, you have to ask your waiter for it, and they can only make it for dine-in. Ultimately, This is why I will never order takeout from this place.

Also would like to mention that I found a small slab of 12L14 steel in my pad thai, not sure if that was...

Worst place to go in valley.. My wife is vegetarian and we order the noodles with tofu and I ordered the sea foods curry .. They made the dish with meat for my wife when asked they told us that cook will remade it but forgot to add tofu to it and third time they made it with fried tofu which my wife hates.. Owner come to our table and request not to leave assure us that they will make the new one as per our specification. We reached there about 10 pm on Tuesday and we were there for 1.5 hrs. And my wife was still hungry till 11.15 or so. Later cook forgot our order and when we ask for check the owner come to us and said I did not charge for noodles.. I was shocked by hearing this.. He was trying to say that he is doing a favor on us by not charging my card for the food which never get served to us. When I question the service and mentioned to him that this was your mistake. Owner was furious and rude to us saying it was out mistake and they made the food three time but we did not want to eat it. Finally we pay for my dish and my wife end up leaving hungry at 11.30 with no other options to eat out. This place is bad, bad, bad ..horrible service with rude servers and owner.. Never go there... spend your money at the place where people respect...

Hands down the best Thai food restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. Was introduced to this place by Foodies who have Thai friends. Their spicy can knock your socks off so be careful. Everything we've had here so far is great so no recommendations other than come here often

All I can say is wow this place does not disappoint. I've come here many many times since being introduced and have not had anything we don't like. hands down the best spot for Thai food in the San Fernando Valley. They're open late....not as late as Sanuam Luang (for the pub crawlers, but no rats and roaches here! Sweet staff, attentive service always busy. All the signs of a good restaurant. A word of caution to my American peeps... if you have not had real authentic Thai food... before ordering drop it a notch on spicy because this place will burn a hole through your rectum if you go super spicy....

Hidden gem in the Valley. I've never been to Thailand so I don't know what's authentic or not. This place has both northern and southern regions of cooking. My wife and I went a little crazy and ordered four dishes: Khao soy (a curry noodle with chicken), roasted duck noodle soup, Jin Jang (crispy anchovy salad), and the crispy fish with their special sauce. All dishes were pretty amazing! If you are adventurous and like fish sauce, curry, etc than give those dishes a try. The waiter recommended the fish and we were hesitant at first (because we wanted to be more adventurous) but we were pleasantly surprised and gobbled it up completely. The special sauce that came with it was just crack. Definitely becoming back!
