I went this week on a Monday 1/23/23 to buy pupusas. I was charged $3.50 for each pupusa. I just went today Sunday 1/29/23 and they raised there prices on the weekend to $4.75 for each pupusa and lady who takes orders over the phone asserts that there prices have always been $4.75. She didn't like the fact that I was asking questions in regards to prices because I know the prices they have. I also ordered chicken on its own. The lady forcibly charged me the whole combo with the soup. I'm not new to this location for her to say that they never sell chicken asado by itself. Bad customer service today. She also gave me wrong change. Always make sure they give you the right amount of change. Because I had her take count in the pupusas I ordered and how much she charged me for chicken and at the end had to admit she gave me wrong change. Don't get ripped off. They will over charge you, and say that they are in the right and you are in the wrong. Will no longer be going to...
Read moreAs a new immigrant from Korea who just landed in California last month, I had no idea about what El Salvadorian food is like. To say the conclusion first, I loved the food!!! I was with my husband and both of us didn't know what to eat. So we asked the server for help and she recommened us grilled chicken. And we also orderes cheese pupusa. The chiken dish came with a small portion of soup and one plain pupusa. The chicken was a thigh, so perfectly grilled, with little bit of salt sprinkled, helplessly good. Garnished with two slices of tomato, cucumber, beat, and anonimous vegetable/plant was fresh and aromatic. Cheese pupusa was satisfactory because it has enough cheese in it, and goes well with that El Salvadorian coleslaw. (With some chilli sauce, the coleslaw tasted little bit like kimchi! Haha.) Great food. Kind staffs with great smiles. I definitely want to go back to this small and lovely restaurant and try other menus as well!! Highly...
Read moreLet me start by saying, the service is weak. The cashier/server and possible cook is uncouth, the quality of the food is grotesque. And the ambiance horrendous. I went in being as my last resort. But the restaurant is small, cramped and you are about 11 inches away from the other customer. If you so move an inch you bump into the next table or client. They also take too long to serve you pupusas not well done. The masa was not fully cooked, and was basically mostly beans. No pork at all. No flavor. And the tomatoes sauce very runny! Donât waste your money. Itâs $10.00...
