Been a hot minute since we’ve eaten here but decided to take my dad since he’s in town visiting and it’s been almost 10 years since his last visit.
Parking is always a nightmare here. It’s a pretty big parking lot but squishy parking and no one knows how to park lol. They always park over the lines leaving no room for the person next to them so we had to park a bit farther than usual.
We sat down immediately, my mom, dad, bf and I for a nice dinner. Maria is by far one of the BEST waitresses we’ve ever had at this place and maybe even in general! She was such a character and absolute sweetheart, she deserves everything. I love when someone is as sweet as her and still has jokes to pass around. She was so observant and always made sure we had what we needed.
We had some warm, fresh bread which is a must. Bloomin onion, another must. Asked for extra sauce and she brought it out immediately. The food we ordered came out quickly and absolutely delicious. I went for a smaller meal tonight, tried their shrimp plate which had crispy and garlic butter shrimp which was delicious! I got it with a side of their new loaded Brussels sprouts which I wasn’t actually crazy about (surprisingly because I LOVE Brussels).
My dad got his baby back ribs that he loved and even had leftovers for tomorrow. My mom got some sort of shrimp and salmon rice plate that was delicious and also plenty of leftovers. My bf got a steak with loaded baked potato and broccolis. We all had such great meals and excellent service, it really makes you want to come back. Wasn’t too busy tonight, came around 6pm and still had a bunch of empty tables. Wasn’t very loud, people were still respectful. Read moreFood poisoning As of 12/09/2016 my wife and I walked in to this establishment and ordered a pretty good amount of food seeing as we always use to come here frequently years ago and the food was terrific but as of 12/10/2016 I have developed !!!! food poisoning!!!!!!! That's correct this morning I was woken by the chills and nausea and violent vomiting as it is the morning hour and describing this matter knowing that I could not even have coffee this morning from the pain chills and nausea explains what I accumulated and looked over in the ill state that I'm in first off I will say that I purchased as food the coconut shrimp along with chicken and ribs don't remember the name of this signature platter from outback and don't want to either? However it appears that the chicken was undercooked the ribs seem to have been cooked the shrimp is what I have noticed as possibly food borne illness and the sauce to dip the shrimp in was also from what I figured now out for maybe hours these cooks in detail do not care about you the old saying back in the day was don't give it back if it's not right they might spit in your food? well folks it has certainly come down to more then that over the years this establishment became like every other establishment in Los Angeles county of not being able to provide proper services because of the constant busyness that LA County strides on with its population and that biggest thing is to eat unfortunately I came out I'll from this avoid this establishment as my investigation in to them is horrible from the few minutes only...
Read moreFIRST TIME AT OUBACK STEAKHOUSE: I am a huge steak lover and love a good steakhouse. Outback has always been recommended to me but never got the change to go in. Conveniently, I now live down the street from one so decided to come in today to try out. Came in at 2pm today which is Thursday. Obviously not busy and had no problem seating down. I’m alone so the wait is never long. The menu has classic steakhouse options with a variety of appetizers, entrees, lunch specials, happy hour, drinks and desserts. The location itself was a bit cold inside but definitely not a factor in my rating. Just preference... I sat by the bar section and the bartender on shift was super nice and knew what she was talking about. I ordered house wine which is delicious. Bartender brought me bread and butter. The butter was melted and so good with the bread. I ordered a lunch special outback center steak, medium rare with a side of mashed and Mac and cheese. To begin with, the Mac is made with a well put seasoning which makes every bite taste so good. The mashed potato was at a perfect consistency and flavor. The steak was sooo good and very well cooked. Medium rare as I ordered. I was alone so I got the 6oz which was plenty for one. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this location. 100% recommend for solo eaters and groups.
