I will premise with we are in a pandemic and I was walking in the store to pick up my prepaid coffee. The expo guy, the one with the bunch of tattoos, had some trouble hearing me. He looked at me when he finally heard me ask him about my drink. He then looked and pointed at the cups on the pick-up tray. Then he looked back at me after pointing and looking at the cups. I assume he was suggesting I read the labeling, like I had not thought of reading my name on them. Or maybe he was convinced that I'm too lazy to read. Unfortunately, for both of us the labeling on my drink was almost completely covered by the hot sleeve. I looked back at him so as to confirm that I had no clue where my drink was. So he had to pick up every drink from left to right, coincidentally picking mine up last. Then it was that he dicovered, along with the fact the the sleeve was covering my name, the labeling that I was also looking for. I was very underwhelmed at his capacity to read the problem. Picking up a prepaid drink should be the easiest thing to do, but I found it inredibly difficult today. Its...
Read moreThis was the worst Starbucks I've been to in LA! I understand they're very busy all day, but the barista didn't have to give me attitude when I'm just asking her questions about a drink! It's literally part of the job to give details about a drink! After I paid and walked away, she probably told something to the one making my drink because it didn't even taste like a regular dragon coconut milk drink. Which is one of the easiest drinks to make there! After I ordered, it didn't take too long to get my food. As for my drink, it took almost 25 minutes to get my drink. When I noticed my drink, a barista caring my drink, coming from the drive thru window area, the ice was so small and the drink was so watered down. I don't believe it was possible that my drink accidentally made its way over there! If that's how they're going to act, every time I ask a question, I don't want to ever go back there! Which sucks because that was my first time there. I literally just moved...
Read moreNot just this location, most SBs now don't know how to make good coffee. Bigger issue is they don't care to make it the right way. As a long time SB fan, I complained many times and HQ must have retrained staff to make drinks right. For the last decade or so probably after Howard Shultz left, they don't seem to follow up with complaints and suggestion. I got a terrible mocha at this place, and as staff don't get retrained, I had very low expectation of them making it right 2nd time. Instead of remaking, I asked staff to add syrup and shot. This request was denied and told me it will cost extra. Ended up getting a refund. I'm unlikely to go back to SB altogether. Nothing to do with LGBTQ or pro Israel stance. It's just they don't make good...
