I reviewed this before, looks like Pinas might have taken it down and they're not supposed to. But I've been going to this place for 45 years or more when a relative of theirs had a restaurant on Pacific Avenue in San Pedro. A few weeks ago I picked up an order. I was there before it was ready but the food was cold and they had no utensils in the bag. When I called the young girl to tell her about it her attitude was like oh well, she didn't seem to care and she knows I've been there many many years as a customer. So I went a few days later to sit and have a meal and the adult son of the owner had the same attitude like he didn't care when I told him about what happened a few days prior. I thought they would at least offer something, take off a few dollars of my bill but no their attitude is they don't care. So me and my family will never ever go back there. I just didn't like the attitude and they know I've been a faithful customer that tips very good for more than 45 years with...
Read moreThe cafe does not look like much from the outside, but when you go inside it is a very typical Mexican style cafe with cheap decor on the walls according to the season. However it is very clean and attractive, and the service is excellent and friendly and fast. We had some of the best Mexican food I have had in this area, or really anywhere. I had a taco and a chile relleno with rice and beans. They really shine in the chips and salsa department. Wow! There is a slight sweetness to the salsa which brings out the other flavors wonderfully and the chips are light and crisp. The beans were delicious as was the rice, and I must say the rice was better than average for any kind of Mexican food. The relleno was done just right the light tomato sauce on top and the taco was filled with a generous portion of chicken and very fresh lettuce...

Wanted a extra salsa for the food because it was dry and bland and one for my chips and it felt like pulling an arm and a leg for it. the lady told me i gave you one already. I explained to her that I needed one for my food and one for my chips she still went back and forth. So I said nevermind if it is a big issue then I didn't need it that bad So I ended up not getting one more salsa. Then She says its going to be a extra charge. I was like nevermind at that point. Then she tells me but it's only 50 cents. At that point it's I was just over it and ready to leave. the quality of the food was no where near the one on 25th. Will definitely keep going to the other Pinas. But not...
