So, this is, I believe, the first Starbucks I've ever had this problem with before. It's a drive-thru/walk up only, so firstly, there's nowhere to add in your own sugar, which is why I got liquid sugar. This bumped up my total by $.50. I didn't think I could just ask them to add in regular sugar for me, but I'll do that next time so that I don't waste $. But the biggest problem, was that I asked the girl taking my order for a "large regular coffee". Now even if I don't use Starbucks terminology, a large, any Starbucks employee should be trained on their first day to know, is that a "large" is a "Venti" in Starbucks terminology. A "medium" is a "grande", and a "small" is a "tall". There are ONLY 3 SIZES you all have to remember. It's not rocket science. It's VERY easy. So I ordered a large, which is what I do at every Starbucks, but instead of receiving the largest coffee (a Venti) I received a "grande", which is a medium. So I told the girl I asked for a large, and she tells me that the one she gave me is a "grande"...... Now, I know that "grande" is "large" in Spanish, but in Starbucksland, it's a medium. So this girl really thinks that when people order a large coffee they should receive from her a medium sized coffee because the word "grande" means large in Spanish? I want to point out that this girl, while she looked Hispanic, spoke perfect fluent English, so I am kind of surprised at the mixup, because this is something she should have learned on the first day of her job. So I get a Grande (medium) coffee, with 2 squirts of sugar, and my total is somehow $2.95 with tax?! Somehow this is way more than I spend on a large "Venti". I would like Starbucks to please train their employees in basic terminology, so that when a customer orders a small, medium, or large, they receive the size they wanted and not the wrong size with a look as though I'm the one who made the mistake (I didn't. I order the same size at every Starbucks and like I said, have never had this problem). Just because "grande" is large in Spanish, doesn't mean it's large in Starbucksland. If the employees have a problem with this or don't understand it, they should take it up with the company, not out on the customers. I was very polite, paid with a Starbucks card, and just wanted my regular large...
Read moreI recently went to a Starbucks in San Pedro remind you I have been coming here for many years, and I had the worst experience ever I had ordered almost $50 worth of stuff and I have ordered a Venti drink and when I received the Venti drink that I paid for I received it not even half way less than a half weigh so I looked at the employee and I asked her what is this and she didn’t know what to say so I requested to speak to the manager I Asked her why was my drink not filled up, some thing I just paid for she had a nasty attitude finding out that her name is Carla and she said for me to fill it up you need to pay extra but I’ll still do it one time only she said, first of all I just paid for the drink once again, she is not doing me a favor I definitely called corporate on her and reported this incident they need to train this manager again for her attitude for poor customer service and not giving me my proper drink how I ordered it not like if someone drank it I will make sure I’ll never in my life step in the Starbucks. I will start going to the Starbucks on Gaffey Street for the general manager or supervisor Please train your manager once again your employees were all nice and felt so bad but they couldn’t do anything in front of that woman Carla, which was there manager I feel so bad for the employees Beware of this Starbucks do not go there I have never had this experience in my life in any Starbucks ever, and I’ve ordered this same drink for a long time and never received it less than halfway filled up in...
Read moreI used to like this one even though u can not park most of the the time due to cars in drive thru blocking their only parking. And if u do get to park u get stuck trying to leave for the same reason, and trust me u get stuck for awhile. I will say for them that the house coffee is always hot and thats why I drive 10miles passing over 4 other starbucks to go there but yesterday was my birthday and I went for my free bday drink and realized I left my ph on my bed in a rush out the door for a coffee. I told guy (after waiting at window w another person for over 5mins w/out being acknowledged) "I dont have my ph but have my ID and only want a small house coffee for my bday" He said in a very RUDE tone said "NO! You have to have the app on yourph." Then looked past me to guy behind me. I was taken back cuz it was so blatantly rude. The guy after me called out as I was walking away almost in tears and offered to buy me coffee for my bday. I said no thanks im not giving them business again and left. I went down a few blocks to a different one prepared to pay for my coffee and was telling the very polite employee what happened and he said "your kidding me" thats not so and gave me my...
