Playa Vista — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Some of the WORST airport food I've ever had. We got a few wraps and salads just before boarding our 6 hour flight. It's too bad we did not try the wraps BEFORE boarding the flight, or I would have traded them in for something at least palatable. It's frustrating when businesses operate under the idea that they can sell you overpriced and low quality food because they know the vast majority of clientele won't be back and probably won't remember. Staff was generally friendly but when I asked questions about what was the most popular they said everything and actually steered us towards what I would consider to be the cheapest stuff to make. BTW, the chicken salad wrap was slathered in soooo much mayo that it was disgusting. The veggie wrap had old greens that were way over their expiration date. And there were way too many sun-dried tomatoes overpowering everything else...

This place is just as overpriced as any other airport spot—you’ll pay $20 for a small sandwich you’d get elsewhere for much less. The service we received was great, but the company running this place is awful. They pool tips and distribute them unfairly or just keep them outright. You can’t tip with a credit card anymore because they won’t fix their system, which is a huge problem in an international terminal where many travelers use credit cards or foreign currencies. This makes it even harder for the staff to earn tips.

Brookfield Residential, you need to do better for your employees. Shame on you. Our bartender treated us great...

The food will keep you alive during your flight, nothing to call home about but it’s there and it’s fresh.

The bartender, on the other hand, will smooth out the wrinkles on your day of traveling. Nobody looks forward to spending hours sitting 30,000 feet in the sky with nothing else to do but eat or sleep!

I do not know his name but he was kind and honest with an intelligent sense of humor. He made my day! I feel terrible because I was having such a good time that I forgot to leave him a tip. This the first time it has ever happened to me and I feel awful! I will make it up to him on my next...
