I truly didn’t want to write this review. This bakery is a staple in Chinatown. I grew up eating this bakery’s cakes. Every holiday or birthday celebration this was “the spot” to get our bread, cakes, cupcakes and more. With that being said, on Friday I walked in, placed an order for a TALL WHITE CAKE, no decor just simple WITH FRUIT INSIDE. Without hesitation I was charged $120 I trusted them and in return they SCAMMED ME! When I picked up on Saturday, I picked up an all white cake without being properly finished, not slicked, air bubbles, marks of starting and ending point of the batter, the cake WASN’T TALL, I did ask the older man would you pay $120 for this presentation? he looked down but HE DIDN’T CARE. I mean why would he if the cake was already paid for. Then a Hispanic lady came out trying to insult my intelligence and carried herself rude and unprofessional. Fast forward to the cake cutting, my fruit was missing. For reference I have attached photos. I was better off buying one of their $45 cakes that are inside the glass counter. I’m very disappointed and I did let them know. It breaks my heart because I won’t be coming back and maybe they’ll read this review and roll their eyes. They broke a relationship not with a new customer but our family has been buying Queen cakes for decades. Hope my review helps.

I love the vanilla cream buns here, the cream is delicious, smooth, and just sweet enough. The bread is also soft and chewy. And the price is great for the taste. I've tried the cream puffs and they are also good but the puff isn't as good as the bun. Apparently their rice cakes are tasty but I've never tried them, the cream buns are perfect so those are the only pastries I get. The presentation of their other products is impeccable, which is interesting because all bakeries tend to arrange their pastries in the same way but Queen's pastries is pleasing to look at. Overall if I'm in the neighborhood I'll pay a bit for parking and get buns to go.

Every time I’m in the LA area I do not forget to get my Chinese friends back in The Bay Area some Queen’s Bakery goodies. They are known for their Almond Cookies and Puff Rice Cake which are both excellent! Prices went up a bit since I last went but it’s understandable plus it didn’t go that much. The only downside is it’s hard to find parking in LA Chinatown and you have to make sure to feed the parking meter otherwise DPT is quick to ticket your car. All my Chinese friends approve of this bakery and so do I! 😋👍🏼

You should rate the place on the quality of the establishment itself, but in this case I need to include the hidden monkey. Parking has to be one of the most difficult things in the area for this bakery. They only have parking in the back for a nearby restaurants and everyone double parks in the back in order to get something from the bakery. So the person who parks there gets double, triple or even quadruple parked and has a terrible time getting out.

The service is great, and according to one of their employees the management has recently changed. With that change comes the ability to pay with credit card, it used to only take cash prior to this. We placed our order on the phone and were given a total. When I arrived they rechecked the calculation and realize that a mistake was made and credited me the difference. I really appreciated that, because they could have just taken the money. They were very helpful by taking my two full sheet cakes to my car and...

This is my first time here and had the most horrible experience. I'm diabetic and so i grabbed a ham and cheese pastry only to find out it was sweet cheese. I went to the young lady working at the counter and she was rude. All i asked was if she had ham and cheese and she began to scolded me about choosing the right one. I literally grabbed it from the display counter and even asked if she had extra, she replied no.

I have never been treated like that in any bakery, no recognition it was in the wrong place just blame that i grabbed the wrong one. Even though i asked her if she had extra ham and cheese.

What a horrible experience and believe me im a foodie and im always out looking for the best place to eat. This lady even started cussing so much the older man had to come and trying to settle her down. What a nightmare experience, I'd suggest trying other bakeries who appreciate your business.

Horrible customer...
