My bf and I wanted something sweet after having lunch next door, so we quickly hopped over to check this spot out.
Parking: Every man for themselves. Paid metered parking in front or paid parking garage in the back. Follow the signs to public parking. Complimentary 3 hour parking. $5 + service fees after 3 hours paid via online.
Ambiance/Environment: This is the closest Korean convenient store I'll get to lol. It's small inside with no indoor seating and limited outdoor seating. They offer all the popular Korean snacks, drinks, and ramen.
Service: Service can definitely improve. My main reason for the 1 star off. My bf ordered at the register, and the cashier either wasn't fully present or just did not pay attention whatsoever. My bf repeated himself 3x after the cashier asked him what size he wanted ... 3x. Throughput took about 7 min after ordering.
Drink: We ordered the Coffee Protein Shake. It contains almond milk, protein, banana, coffee, cinnamon, non-fat yogurt, and peanut butter. The consistency wasn't too thick or chalky. The only thing we really tasted was the peanut butter. Every other ingredient was basically invisible.
Pricing: It was $11.50 for a 20 oz protein shake. It didn't state how many grams were in the protein shake. Still more than the average price. Overall, the idea is cool if you're wondering what a Korean convenience store is like. Our experience could've...
Read moreThis place is an absolute joke. They charge you double the price of ramen you could easily find at a grocery store, and for what? The privilege of boiling it yourself in a dirty, cluttered garage masquerading as a restaurant. The atmosphere is horrendous—feels more like a storage unit than a place to eat.
To make things worse, I found expired ramen sitting out and had to personally hand it to the worker. And the strainer? Disgusting. It still had someone else’s noodles stuck to it. It’s baffling that they’re charging people for this experience. Save your money, go to the store, and make your noodles at home. At least you won’t risk eating expired food in a place that looks like a...
Read moreWent here with my mom and the owner of the store (I’m assuming he is) was super nice and very helpful with how to use the ramen machine!! They have an amazing selection of ramen and I got to try out some I’ve been eyeing but didn’t want to buy the whole pack - it saves you the effort and time you gotta put in in making them yourself, so you’re paying for the food and labor which I think is a steal cause I’m lazy.
They also sell some pre-made packaged drinks like shine muscat ade and sell a cup of ice for $1 which I thought was super convenient. Overall, the ramen cane out perfect and I loved the drinks - will def come back to try out...
