SO glad to know that the Hwood Heights neighborhood has this local cafe and wine shop that is so easily accessible! Amazing and kind service. Ecological business that does great work for communities experiencing food inconsistency and hunger. And you can sit and enjoy an empty Bowl while you’re having your delicious coffee. Love love love that this place exists.

It’s a really nice spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and have lunch. It’s convenient and connected to the Hollywood Bowl. There is plenty of drinks and food to purchase whether you are being entertained or just picnicking at the bowl. There’s plenty of parking and the do close before a concert. The staff is friendly and makes a good coffee.

I worked at the Hollywood Bowl for its 2023 & 2024 seasons. One of my coworkers convinced me to drink iced matcha here and my GOD it was incredible. I'm not a coffee person, or, I didn't used to be one, until I started getting lattes here. Now, everything is a pale imitation. I go to YumYum Donuts and I cry because the coffee pales in comparison. I go to Dunkin and I wail in unending grief.

The Hollywood Bowl location is so perfect and people don't truly appreciate South LA Cafe. When there's no concert, you can come in, get an iced matcha latte, and sit in Picnic Area 6 and just soak in the atmosphere. I was on a hike to the Hollywood Bowl and I met two actors who were in town for a tour of their play and I was not only able to show them the Hollywood Sign from the top of the Bowl, but I bought them Iced Matchas for the first time. They were blown away.

good coffee but they are always closed

update to review: we went in today and they were actually open, a first. when we asked the lovely woman working about the unpredictable hours, she said that they’re open every day, but sometimes “the person working just doesn’t show up”

what?

it was through no fault of her own, the coffee is still fantastic and her service was top-notch. but the fact that it’s only open when some employees feel like coming in?

this is the one of the only convenient, quality coffee stops on highland off the freeway on my way to work, so it’s a shame i can’t rely on them or even call ahead (they don’t have a listed phone number) because some employees just decide not...

Hollywood Heights local here. Finally a coffee shop to walk to without having to deal with the chaos of central Hollywood. There’s also plenty of free (non-stacked 😁) parking available if you’re driving. The employees are super friendly and kind. The coffee is very good and there is an abundance of nice, relaxing places to sit and drink your morning coffee in the Bowl promenade. They also just added breakfast sandwiches to their food menu!
