Spl. Coffee — Restaurant in Los Angeles

NOT BAD NOT BAD (Warning: Young adults from Central Florida in for vacation) This is a simple, coffee shop that seems like it has potential to be even greater, but is happy being pretty good at where it is presently. Most coffee shops in this area are cafes where the emphasis is on the food, and I always feel intrusive when I drag my laptop inside for work. At SPL, this is welcomed, and the simple menu (Some pastries and a couple breakfast items) allows more focus to be placed on good coffee.

JUST CHILLING INSIDE With the huge windows, it’s nice and bright inside contrasted with mostly uncomfortable looking seating and plain tables. I wish there was actually MORE seats and more variety of seats (another couch maybe?) but I can’t complain much because it wasn’t busy during our visit. The entrance’s door would occasionally creep open giving the illusion that someone was about to enter but never did- there was no rhyme or reason to what would cause this. Just weird, but it wasn’t a negative.

COFFEE KEPT ME WORKING There’s a couple strong ‘gram attractions like the unique coffee cups and wall, neon sign, but thankfully the drinks are not just limited to appealing superficially. While my order doesn’t break my level of top shops with the espresso-based drink ever (although their cold coffee was pretty good), I’d return if I was in this area and looking for a place to hangout with...

This, is by far one of my favorite Cafe’s to go and spend my morning ritual of Journaling and planning my day. From time to time I’ll bring my pad to illustrate, because the VIBE compels me to draw and create stories.

The menu is simple and it helps for those who a bound to “Morning Routines and Rituals” like me, and if you are curious to stray away from your morning usual it perfectly fine. The menu really pairs well with everything.

The weekends are mildly lively after 10 AM, so if you are trying to get your morning mantras in I advise to do that around 9 or earlier. Which leads me to the weekdays, you can tell that this is a neighborhood usual spot. They come in and greet the staff and after they order they gently wait for the orders to be prepared or carry a casual conversation.

Every now and then you see individuals that are in a rush and fail to realize that lattes are made with love, and brew coffee is ready-to-go.

Today 2 of my coworkers and myself wanted to start the busy week with a nice cup of coffee, while I was checking where to go I found this location and I decided to give it a shot, which was pretty nearby. I had the rosemary bee and the ham a cheese croissant, both were really good. And for them I ordered Bori caramel, they told me theirs was also super good, im definitely have to go back and try a different coffee, im also willing to try the ube one, i dont remember seen ube in a coffee shop, I might be wrong. The place is super nice, clean and the best part is their service, very friendly and patient, I asked few questions and the lady was very polite answering my questions thank u.
