Thai Original BBQ & Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Literally just got out of here. This restaurant is for single adults lol that need fast food because most of the food here is meal ready frozen. I was raised in ktown haven’t been here in years!!! I came with my daughter and husband. When I do go to Thai restaurants in general I get pa thai and spicy seafood soup shrimp fried rice and it’s always so good. I ordered the same here and the pa thai was over cooked it was so doughy it had a plastic flavor! I asked if they could take it because it was doughy slimy tasted like plastic and she gave me an ugly look. My husband ordered garlic chicken and it smelt like hot dog water and he didn’t want to judge the way it looked so obviously he it had no flavor it was so terrible, he immediately threw it out his mouth and wanted to vomit and the whole time the waiter was watching him and ran to us. She yelled at us and told us that we would still have to pay for it. Remind you he took a bite of one small piece of chicken out of a whole giant plate of this. She yelled so much that we need to be careful in the way we order stuff….. I asked her to try the noodles and she was about to and gave it a stare and threw it. She knew that it wasn’t good. This spot is good for the seafood soup and the fried rice that’s it. Honestly this was so disappointing. Other waiters felt so bad for me because the way she was yelling towards me while we are seated with my daughter. She didn’t have no right to raise her voice especially with a kid literally right in...

My only complaint is ive been eating here for years, and when i called and asked for delivery the lady refused to do it and hung up on me. She told me 2 mile radius only, i called back asked for a manager, told me there was none and hung up again. I called back again super frustrated and someone else answered this time. I told her that i wanted to order to go and she told me she could not because of 2 mile radius. I already knew this way before calling then and looked up the resturant to see how far it was from me and it was 2.1 miles which is why i called to begin with because i wanted to ask if .1 miles was a deal breaker. I told the woman this and she informed me that i am 2.5 miles away which i told her was not true, she told me i was. I am looking this resturant on google maps so i am fairly sure it us accurate. Eventually she hung up on me as well. I do jot emjoy the way i was treated and it seems to me whatever they are using to figure out distances is wrong and if i lived 1.7 miles away their system adds an additional .5 miles making me "out of the radius." And they would hang up on me too even tho i am well within the radius. I love this place and id highly highly recommend it to anyone, my whole family eats here. And honestly if they delivered id ordered at least once a week. Frankly i dont like they way they treated me and made me feel like all my years of eating here means notthing and to dispute .1 miles over weekly ordering is sad to me....

I love Thai bbq. I have been going since I was a kid and never had any kind of problem. Food is always good the day we went was no exception. Food is 5 stars.

My concern is when we got the bill. I was about to start adding in a tip when I noticed the tip had already been added. Which I found strange since normally you get that when it’s a big party. It was just 2 of us. I just dismissed it and was like okay that’s fine let me just give them the card and pay. When I got the receipt to sign I noticed it had a line to add a tip and a suggested tip. I was like that’s so deceptive. People are probably double tipping unknowingly if you don’t look at your bill carefully and notice the tip they already added to the bill.

For me that’s a deal breaker. I have no problem tipping but that’s not okay in my book. Make sure you check your bills so you’re not...
