Read moreLet me start off by saying I eat sushi so I may be picky. I like the closeness to my home and I love chicken teriyaki and sushi so I wanted to show support. Pros: Amazing portions!!
Cons: Salad definitely needs ginger dressing..I dont like creamy dressings. Beef teriyaki tastes good but had too much fat. Chicken was very good and tasty. Spicy tuna Sushi is ok, but the rice doesn't taste authentic but it's not bad it's just too bland for me and I cant pour eel sauce in order to make it taste good because it becomes too sweet for me. The sushi rice is just white rice, it's not SUSHI rice in my opinion. If they work on the menu, dressings just a little more..it would be so much better.
I didn't try anything else but will be back for more chicken.
If you like Mexi Sushi (estilo culichitown), this place is def for You. If you like Japanese Sushi, you may want something else. If you like a hefty & well priced teriyaki plate Come here!! Nice person at the register. I hope this place keeps...
Read moreI had passed by with my coworker few times and finally decided to try today. Place is small but the is worth a shot. Jesus who was taking care of our order is very helpful, friendly and explained really good the menu, in fact he was so nice when I asked him if I could change the roll from the beef plate I ordered, and he didn't hesitate and totally did it. Portion is really good, my plate came with rice, teriyaki beef, option of salad or veggies and/ or gyoza or spring rolls. and we will definitely have to go again and try a different dish, . Today was cool and I saw there is tonkotsu ramen on the menu, which I was tempted to have, however this option was not available at the moment, but later they would be serving ramen,. While eating Jesus told me when the broth was ready he would gimme to try, and to my huge surprise he came with a nice bowl of ramen, I was speechless, never thought he would actually gimme the whole portion, what a nice guy,. Definitely have to go again and try...
