A new small family business operated by a Japanese Chef in K-town. The portions of the food are amazing compared to the price. It is a must-try place in K-town if you have not already done so. We got the following: Combo Fried Rice, Japanese Cold Udon, Chicken Teriyaki Plate, Beef Teriyaki Plate, Fish Katsu, Chicken Katsu and Musubi. The Katsu was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The teriyaki plates (both beef and chicken) meats were super tender. The teriyaki sauces are also self-made from the chef which makes it special to the customers. Udon comes with a variety of ingredients on top such as green onions, slices of eggplants, grinded radish and crumbs of tempera pieces along with a Japanese soy sauce you eat it together with. Lastly, the combo fried rice comes with a mixture of beef, chicken and shrimp inside the dish. The chef's stir frying was amazing and with a plenty of green onion sprinkles to make the fried rice even more fresh. I cannot pick the best one since all of them were high in quality and every dish was perfectly prepared and cooked. Overall, we will be definitely coming back as we found our favorite Japanese...
Read moreI met friends for lunch and went to a nearby restaurant, Teriyaki Tai with my 2-year-old son. I didnât expect the food to be so good! The portions were big, the prices were very reasonable, and everything tasted amazing. It was impressive that a Japanese chef cook in the open kitchen.
We ordered chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, beef fried rice, and cold udon. I usually like lightly seasoned food, this place was perfect for me and my child. We really enjoyed the meal! I also didnât feel thirsty after eating, which is a big plus for me. If you prefer a bit under-seasoned, it would be good to ask for extra salt or sauce. chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu : strongly recommend! Good quality, very tasty Beef fried rice : large portion, tasty, my son loved it cold udon: beautiful Japanese cold udon, portion was little small
The portions were large, so I took some food home and reheated it in microwave the next dayâit still tasted great. The restaurant is a little hidden, so it might be a bit hard to find at first. But itâs worth it! I went on a Friday at lunchtime, and parking was easy....
Read moreBro, full MEAL for under $8. I'm sold, plus the variety I want to try the rest of the menu.
He has a sign that says quick service. It's true. The good sir went from I think watching I think Chinese Or Korean tele novellas, I'm not certain the language just going off his last name, to cooking my meal in no time flat. Turn around service was less than 10 minutes. And I don't think that grows too much as he gets busy.
Amazing teriyaki. It's dry meat but full flavor. He pulled it right from the marinade onto the flat top. Also noticed he immediately scraped it clean after he was done...
