I was very excited once I heard they were opening a small food spot on the USS Iowa, and it did not disappoint. Ordered a couple of their hot dogs with toppings, a side of fries and a beer. Everything came out very fast and it tasted very good. Prices are a bit on the higher end for street food but not a big issue. The reason why I can't give it 5 stars is that all the toppings on our hot dogs were extremely cold which felt weird to eat. The fries were underwhelming as they were soft and soggy. But the flavor of the bread, Franks, sauces and toppings was good. The place is beautiful since you can sit next to the water, on the rear side of the ship and look at the port and a lot of the waterfront. It's a pretty cool experience. Service is good and friendly, no complaints there. Definitely will be back and hopefully they'll have crispy fries and warmer toppings. To find the place you just need to go to the back of the ship, and walk to the other side along the water. You will see a little container just in front of the rear cannons. Forgot to mention that part of the 4 star rating is because they use a lot of plastic utensils and cups. Being by the sea, I would expect them to use some sort of ecological option.

What can beat the experience of dining on the fantail of a US Navy Battleship? Dining where many sailors looked out over the clear blue waters, sailing to adventure and in defense of our country. The hot dogs were generously endowed Nathan’s hotdogs with delicious toppings. Even the chicken Caesar salad was loaded with chicken. Please note the prices posted on this review as the prices have gone up compared to other information we read.

Suprisingly... according to my uncle and wife... it was the best hotdog they have ever tasted. I think its comparable to pinks, nathan and sonoran hotdogs... for me... its among the top 5. Though i have to say... they only accepts cash. So be ready with one. After the tour.. this is really a nice treat.. and nearby is the helicopter of the ship... very nice

Where else can you eat foodie-level hot dogs, dank seasoned fries and fresh large salads while basking in the privilege of sitting on the fantail of an 80-year-old US Navy Battleship!?! Go. Take the family. Do the tour. Buy rad gifts. But mostly, spend time helping your loved ones see the incredible feats of our ancestors and what they accomplished in our world's time of need.

Currently there's Sunday and Monday night football being held on their massive outdoor LED screen with beer and wine...
