So, I've just left Hojas in Pedro. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a treat and a quick bite while we wait for our kids to get out of a local class. Hojas was my choice and although their prices are a bit higher I know they use quality ingredients and usually good service, today was not one of those days. We ordered our 2 iced masalas, 1 which we added 2 espresso shots to. Oddly our drinks came up with the espresso on the side. We looked at each other and shrugged, maybe they prefer we add it in? Then our name was called for our Caprese, but when we went up no sand which was there. They said they would look into it, and we guessed another customer took it on accident. We get that happens sometimes so we went to sit assuming they would handle it and our food would be coming up. 10 more minutes and the group who accidentally took out food, continues to get food, who by the way came in after us. Finally we went up to ask, of course they apologized, but we still didn't get our food and since we have now been there over 20 minutes and now need to pick up our kids we asked for a refund. We were so rushed and needed to leave otherwise I would have asked to speak to a manager, therefore I'm leaving this in hopes management sees this and fixes this issue. The neglect and the feeling of being taken advantage for my patience is bad business. The fact we had to approach the counter multiple times and waited almost 30 minutes is terrible customer service. Next time if there will be, we know to tip after we've...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. We are on a Gluten free Vegan diet. We asked if any item suits our diet, the answer was negative. We were told they can remove the cheese and wrap to accommodate our needs. The cashier offered us to add avocado instead. We agreed. Cashier never explained it will cost us $3 extra. We requested for a cup of cappuccino, we heard they steaming machine does not work and only Nescafe is available. We requested for Macha tea with coconut milk , they said no coconut milk is available. They offered soy, almond or oat milk. again never explained these will have extra cost. Eventually we spent $18.5 for a sandwich and a cup of tea that even was not what we wanted. I came back to ask few drops of honey to the tea, they said it will be 85 cents. Really??? after spending $18.5, you want your customer to go back to the line and pay more. I was very disappointed with this place. Very pricey with low...
Read moreBeen coming to Hojas for years, but I find it hard to be a consistent client, due to the service...
I love the quality of teas, coffees, and food. No denying of that... But their employees wavier from good to bad with service and performance. If you're trying to place a pickup order, they consistently do a tactic where they don't answer the first call round, letting it go to voicemail. If you try to call back and attempt to place your order again, they'll have taken the phone off the hook, for over 20 minutes at times, so the phone will be "busy". It's happen to me numerous times and I have seen them do it when I've had to go into the San Pedro establishment to place more order in person and wait for pickup. They seem to always do it when they get behind with their store line. Management needs to be reviewed big time or maybe opt out of taking phone orders. I hope they...
