I would give only one star except the cashiers, god bless thier souls, what they had to deal with and still give decent customer service under the circumstance.

The one star would be for whoever is the owner of this establishment, the fact that you have a business in a grimy area, and don’t hire a security guard to keep out young, aggressive, tweeked out homeless people. During my visit, two homeless guys come in a without any shame start digging in the trash for food, and making a mess, one was even yelling loud and in a threatening manner to the cashier who told him to stop digging in trash. If one of these cashiers were my wife/sister/girlfriend I would really feel worried about their safety. I’m almost sure this is a regular occurrence.

I’m not a big fan of yoshinoya anyway, I was only in there to try the Asian meatballs(which were average at best) so even if I was to visit a Yoshinoya, this one would not be it.

The only reason I’m even posting this is my hope that the manager hires a security guard before one of your cashier gets hurt. This is potentially a dangerous situation when you have homeless people who seem as if they have a propensity for violence coming into an establishment with out some type...

not much better than any other regular yoshinoya but the reason i’m giving this place 5 stars is because of the amazing cashier! while his other coworker made sure to clock out at exactly 9pm when the line was out the door and it seemed like no one else was here he literally rose to the occasion and did every job himself. that other guy left and this other dude with headphones on came out of the back and when he asked him to stay dude went to the restroom leaving him with a huge waiting line and to make and fill every single order by himself which he did with such kindness!!! shout out to this guy. he had glasses and curlyish hair and needs a raise for real. i THINK his name was ivan but not sure (not to be confused with his slacker coworker who had a random grey hat, headphones, jeans that don’t fit him, and a backwards shirt) anyway i cannot believe he keeps such a good attitude and servitude up under pressure like that with no...

I've had the most terrible visits here that I don't know where to begin. Today, I was in the area and for some odd reason I broke my promise to myself that I would not return to Yoshinoya. First off, I arrived at 915am only to find the doors locked and the store closed despite the posted hours: 8am - midnight. I could see three employees through the window who looked lost and still half asleep as they ignored the few confused people waiting to enter.

20 minutes later, I've finally got my food. The orange chicken hadn't been heated at all it seemed. It was so cold that I had to take it back. Of course, I was given attitude and they reluctantly replaced my cold food with normally-heated food.

An all around mess of a store and an all around mess of a chain.. but it's cheap, conveniently located, and accepts EBT. I sincerely hope I don't decide to be disappointed once again by...

I use to come to Yoshinoya for the beef and chicken. Ever since they offered Salmon, this is what get a lot. I hold off the sauce to keep the salt down. The food is good, staff is friendly and never really had issues before. Bathroom is now closed to public probably due to the homelessness coming in the restaurant. In fact, today just watched LAPD and paramedic attending to a homeless man inside the bathroom, who ended up walking on his own out of the place. The neighborhood has lots of homeless people roaming around. Overall they try and keep the restaurant clean. Probably avoid weekends as they have those swampmeet overflow with so many people in the sidewalk and using the parking lot. If you want desserts there is a donut shop and Boba Time next door.

They always give less chicken compare to many other yoshinoya. It’s the nearest yoshinoya from my home. I go there last few years, they were not bad at past. Now they give less chicken. I ordered a combo & i was given only 4 small pieces of chicken. TBH almost half portion than even normal bowl. When I complain one guy told me you ate some pieces & another guy told me thats the normal/perfect portion for the combo. As you can see they have contradiction between themselves. One was saying that’s normal, another one was saying I ate some pieces which means it had to be more than that. It happened before as well but I ignored few times. Couldn’t ignore last time bcz i was paying for combo but getting less protein🙂

Yoshinoya in America retains its Japanese roots while offering a unique dining experience tailored to local tastes and preferences. Beyond the classic beef bowl, American Yoshinoya locations often feature a broader range of options, including chicken bowls, pork bowls, and sides like fries and salads. Since Yoshinoya in Japan uses American beef short plates, there isn’t much difference in the flavor of the beef in the bowls at US locations. For Japanese travelers, it might not be worth a special trip, but if you’re a Yoshinoya fan, the blend of Japanese and American flavors provides a distinctive dining experience that’s worth checking out. ■Original Gyudon Beef Bowl (Regular)・$8.29
