This location always has great servers lately. Shout out to Cash for such good friendly service.
Today I noted the Carnitas Fajitas were back! I haven't seen these on the menu in years! Unfortunately, the recipe changed for this and other items. These Carnitas are good, don't get me wrong, but they taste more like smoked pulled pork on a fajita than the old recepie which had a more zesty carribian taste maybe with cilantro and lime. It's been so long I can't remember.
Beans used to have cilantro. The cilantro gave the beans a distinctive one-of-a-kind flavor that was just to die for. Please bring back the black beans with cilantro.
Fajitas no longer come with the cute but clumbsy tower of toppings. The trade off is now you have PLENTY of cheese, but no guacamole. This is fine, and honestly much better for ease of fajita construction.
Today the drink machine was down, so all that was available was Tea, bottled root beer, water, and one other thing I don't remember. No strawberry lemonade thing (which is the wife's favorite)
The menu is now... regrettably puny. It's one sheet front and back (folded), and a single insert front and back. This kinda defeats the purpose of eating at a restaurant. The supply chain for all these places is screwed up. I wish someone could figure out how the heck the pandemic affects supply of food and other supplies. It may not be Chili's fault, but please understand that it directly affects my decision of whether I want to bother eating out or not. I honestly hadn't been to Chili's since maybe July, and that's highly unusual. It's just not a pleasant customer experience like it used to be. I suggest taking what you have and making it special or unique like the little places who already had small menus do. Otherwise, why choose Chili's, ya know?
Finally, cleanliness. While the dining area was nice and spotless, the bathroom was gross. A urinal was marked out of order, but appeared to have sewage or something foul smelling backed up in it. One of the clamps holding up a divider was broken. The entire floor along the back wall was wet. Countertop is not sloped properly to sink leading to standing water on the counter which overflows onto the floor. I'm used to finding restaurant bathrooms like this around here,...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Chili's Grill & Bar, and overall, my experience was quite enjoyable. The restaurant offers a delightful combination of delicious food and reasonable prices, making it a solid choice for a casual meal. However, there were a few hiccups with their takeout/curbside pickup service that prevented me from giving them a perfect five-star rating. Let's start with the positives. The food at Chili's is undeniably good. Their menu boasts a wide variety of flavorful dishes, ranging from classic American favorites to Mexican-inspired creations. I particularly enjoyed the mouthwatering burgers and the sizzling fajitas, which were cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the ingredients were fresh and well-prepared. With a great balance of taste and value, Chili's truly delivers on the culinary front. Now, onto the aspect that needs improvement: their takeout/curbside pickup service. While convenient, there have been a couple of instances where I experienced minor issues. One time, when I ordered takeout, I noticed that they forgot to include straws with my drinks. Although it wasn't a major problem, it was a small inconvenience that could have been easily avoided with a bit more attention to detail. On another occasion, the forgetfulness reached a bigger scale. When I ordered chips and dip as part of my takeout, to my disappointment, they completely forgot to include them in my order. This oversight was more significant since it directly impacted my meal experience. Despite these minor setbacks, I still find Chili's to be a fantastic dining option. Their delicious food and reasonable prices make it a go-to place for a satisfying meal. While their takeout service could use some improvement in terms of attention to detail, the overall experience is still enjoyable. I appreciate their efforts in rectifying any mistakes and providing excellent...
Read moreThe fact that i have worked in the food industry makes it really hard for me to write this because i do come from a level of understanding and compassion but tonight was just awful in everyway. First we asked to be seated in a booth. We got a half booth half table and asked if we could get moved to a feel booth after the one next to us was cleaned off, we were told no. We ordeded a appetizer, and got a basket of broken up chips, like crumbs from the bottom of the bag. Our waitress came to our table one time during our whole meal to give me a refill of unsweetened tea when I ordered mango tea. Then half way through our meal she was sat with a 16 top that was seperared into 3 tables and we didn't see her again the whole night. I couldn't correct my drink order, my friend didn't even get a refill the whole time, I ordered queso on the side that was never brought but i was still charged for. My meal was fijatas and my onions and bell peper weren't chewable they were hard and barley cooked and my chicken was cold. We ordered dessert in the kiosk and waited 35+ minutes to which another waitress brought out but by then the ice cream was melted. And we sat for almost an hour and waited on the check and our waitress made eye contact several times but didn't pause, even when we asked the host to go get her she still didn't come to the table, because I paid in cash and I needed my bill and things deducted because i didn't receive them the whole meal..didn't recieve any to go boxes.... My bill was 38 dollars alone, i paid pretty much 40 dollars for the worst restaurant experience of my life. I left her exact change and left. I understand it's hard dealing with a huge table top by yourself but you can't neglect your other tables and not provide a service. I love chilis but i will never return to that location, and or eat there for a...
