I wait all year for the pumpkin cheesecake donuts to come out. The first time I ever had one was like three years ago and it was so heavy and super filled, like the very best donut I ever had in my entire life. Then like 2 years ago, when I got one again, it was still good, but disappointing because I noticed it was not near as filled as the year before. Last year, when they became available again, I ordered one and I had to go back in and show the cashier b/c when I cut it in half, there was such a small amout of filling in it, nothing like the picture on IG. She was like, 'ok - so do you want another one?' I reluctantly accepted, the replacement was slightly better, but not that much. Fast forward to this year, they just came back out with them this week. My daughter was so excited to tell me she picked up 'my favorite pumpkin cheesecake donut from DD.' When I got home, I cut it open and all I can say is, look at the photo. There is like 'less than the tip of a teaspoon of filling in there.' I was like, this has to be a joke. The prices of the donuts are going up while the quality is going down. I don't think I will ever get a donut from here again. It's just too disappointing. I 'treat myself' to a donut like once or twice a year, DD is suppose to be the best, not anymore. I think I'd rather just skip it. Whoever y'all have filling your donuts has to know that's crazy. Like who would be cool with that amount of filling in a 'cream filled...
Read moreDISGUSTING FOOD RUDE MALE MANAGER. I placed an uber eats order for a SIX DOLLAR CINNAMON ROLL and it was delivered with HUNDREDS of ants on the inside. I called for a measly 6 dollar refund- I don’t care about the money but I’m not paying for something I’m not eating it’s wrong. The male manager said he would refund me- then never did. I called back about my cinnamon roll and the male manager twice said he would call me back- never has while having some girl on the phone tell me he’s too busy to talk. I called and gave a girl my email and phone number twice because the manager was too busy to speak to me on the phone. Is this how you treat your customers? I’ve been eating your sandwiches for years and years at other locations, to come to Elwood- get DISGUSTING any filled food, and attitude from your male staff manager who is too busy to do his job?? I have been telling EVERYONE about this TERRIBLE experience and how rude your manager is and how I will never go again. He needs to be fired. Food mistakes happen, I understand. How your manager deals with problems is a...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting District. I’ve seen great things on social media. I wasn’t sure if they were making fresh donuts all day or just in the morning, so I went in at 7pm with appropriate expectations. They were out of specialty flavors, which I totally understood at that time in the evening, but just as I was ordering I overheard one of the guys said he was going to throw the rest of them away. So I paid full price for donuts that were headed to the trash. I also ordered a large hot latte and it was made iced. I honestly didn’t even mind, but no one offered to remake it or anything. Worst part was that after I left that I realized they gave me a small after I paid for a large. The service was disappointing, but I have to say those are the best damn donuts I’ve ever had! Even headed for the trash lol. The quality of the ingredients must be top-tier because the result is a perfectly balanced and delicious. The coffee was great too. One of the best lattes I’ve had in a while, even if it wasn’t quite...
