Brought my girlfriend and her little brother out to eat as a little treat the environment was great and the food was solid, the server was not good, our server Mary greeted us with an attitude, sat us down gave us more attitude when we ordered a drink, we simply ask how many pieces of sushi if we ordered a roll then gave us a bad attitude response to a simple question. She rolled her eyes at us. She then later came back to ask for what we wanted to eat we asked her politely to give us five more minutes, she turned around and smacked her teeth! Me and my girlfriend discussed if we should even consider giving her a tip after the type of service she gave us from the beginning we walked through the doors, and our answer was this waiter does not deserve a tip after being rude to us throwing our plates on the table, smacking her lips rolling her eyes. We left and we made an honest mistake and forgot to sign our name on the recipet she ran out and started yelling at us, then smartly with an attitude said "thank you for the tip" and slammed the door, I talked to the manager about this situation. I left for 2 mins and notice I forgot something came back and asked if they seen my belongigns and the manager asked Mary if she had seen it or brought it to the back she said no but it turns out Mary did take it and lied about it. If you are the owner of this restaurant, please take the time to read this, we felt disrespected, we were lied too, and she basically stole something from me when she was asked and lied about it. We are very disappointed this restaurant is nice the food is nice, everyone else is nice and respectful but Mary, but since Mary was the server, and this was our first time at this restaurant it gave us a very sour and bitter first impression. The only person that deserved a tip was the young lady who cleaned our table and the young lady that refilled our drinks other then that my suggestion is to let go of Mary and find someone else who is well suited for that job because this nice restaurant shouldn't need that bad server and give yall a bad reputation. I hope our next experience will be better, and I hope we can work this out. Seen...
Read moreI have been to Sake Cafe multiple times and never have I ever been so disappointed with the service. First of all, I was informed that the staff was short-hand, but that does not justify the fact that my waiter did not bother to check to see if my order was correctly taken. He did not get neither my friend's order nor my own correct. Both my friend and I let the fact that he got it wrong slip, as we did not want to come off rude. We ate what we received without a single complaint. At the end of the meal, when we were paying for our meal, my friend and I split the bill, since he did not bother to ask whether or not we wanted two checks in the first place. We had just enough to cover the bill with exact change. Of course my friend and I, knowing how hard it is to work off of tips, were trying to use whatever little money we had left to form the tip. We both felt bad, but we both managed to make three dollars out of change. The waiter came to get the check and asked me if I wanted change back. I said no since it was the exact amount. The tip was placed clearly to see on the table. He came back and said, "Did I do something wrong because this is how I make a living," and gave me a rude glare and stormed away. I clearly put a tip on the table. This makes me think he clearly did not have enough training to know that you leave a tip on the table when you leave, not when you pay the check. I honestly think that Sake should make sure their staff is properly trained, because this was honestly...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible food! I've never taken the time to write a negative review before, but this place earned it today! Our lunch experience at this Sake Cafe (1st time at any of the local Sake Cafes) was the biggest waste of money and time. The service was eh ok, but the food very disappointing. Two of us ordered a bento box lunch and the other ordered a couple of small sushi rolls. The rice was a pathetic mix plain rice chunks with some sort of pale colored attempt at fried rice. The peas in the rice were either freezer burned or under cooked because they were hard and discolored. The beef Teryaki was over cooked and tough, but at least the sauce was okay...too bad there was barely any to speak of. The ginger dressing for the salad was disgustingly sweet and ended up making my son feel sick to his stomach. It almost tasted like thousand island with sugar in it Bleah! The highlight of the bentos were the little pork sticker appetizers since they were actually palatable. The california rolls that came with the bento were just okay-California rolls are hard to truly screw up. Overall, lunch ended up costing close to $55 + tip. (The wait staff was just okay) That is WAY too much to pay for leaving with a bad taste in your mouth and your stomach turning. We will NOT be back to any of...
