I took my family mid Oct. '16 and the restaurant was absolutely freezing in the dining room. The service was horribly slow and they served us the saltiest fries and burgers all three of us had ever had. We should have taken them back but didn't want to wait another 25 minutes. We all figured the lid either fell off of the salt shaker or the Seasoning Technician had just started their apprenticeship. We ordered custards after we ate and they took 15 minutes to come out-at least the treats were good.
Now, 5 months later my Wife and I decided to give it another try. As we were driving down Siegen, I couldn't find the place. When we did, I thought the place was closed because the lights were off. It was dark outside and the lights were off in the parking lot and the front sign was not turned on either. We told the cashier about the lights but she didn't tell the manager-didn't give a care either.
The place was filthy. Trash on the floor in the kitchen, The tables needed busing and wiped down. The manager runs a loose and easy shift. My wife was smart this time and brought a jacket. Again-the place was freezing, so cold we had to eat outside. They must keep the thermostat set so the kitchen help is comfortable. Our ticket was time stamped at 6:30P, we didn't get our food until 6:51P. While we were waiting a guy brought back completely charred onion rings, left them on the counter and walked away-I could tell he was peturbed. After the expediter bagged the fries over and over during the 20 minutes we waited for our food, the guy would just drop the fries in the bag. I'd bet every container of fries spilled in the bag the way he was handling peoples food. I saw kitchen staff talking on their cell phones with gloves on, then going right back to handling food without changing gloves. Our food was put out at the pickup counter and left there-the fries weren't ready so the burgers just sat there, right out in the open, not even under a heat lamp. Cold burgers with hot fries. Wowie Wow Wow! Customers were hanging out right by the pick up area standing over our food. Isn't this sort of food handling against the health department? Overpriced, Slowww, Freezing, Salty, Dirty. Fool me once, fool me twice, and that's enough Freddy's. Ya'll better get your act together location. The horrid reviews for this location far far outweigh the good reviews on Facebook. This store is a PROBLEM. Hey Freddies Corporate-you gotta get this franchise location under control. Old man Freddy wouldn't like what he sees...
Read moreI work all over Louisiana and Texas, always on the road. I have loved Freddie's since the first time I tried it when I started this job 4 years ago. The food is amazing and the best flavor of any fast food restaurant (or even restaurant) you could ever find. I tell all my coworkers about it, i brag on it, everyone who knows me knows i love food so I'm always getting asked what my favorite restaurant is & I always say Freddie's. With that being said, I work in the BR area quite often, and this location has changed for the worst. It being next to my hotel (Home2 on Siegen) I always tend to get Freddie's after work. They have messed up my order countless times, the line is slow 9 times out of 10, and they NEVER have original sauce in the packets, I don't know if there is a shortage on Freddie's original sauce or what in the world the reason could be, but the stuff they give you in the cup to replace the packets when they're out is so nasty & watery. I have given this location SO many chances thinking "they're gonna get everything right this time, they have to", but sadly, after today's visit, I think I am officially done eating at Freddie's. I really hope upper management can do something about this location and fix their issues, this location use to be my favorite a little over a year ago, but they've gone EXTREMELY...
Read moreCame here for lunch the other day. Ordered a California style burger and fries with an ice cream cookie at the drive thru. Wait wasn't that long, maybe 5 or so mins, despite it being packed. At the advice of a friend based on their experience coming here, I got double burger.
She had warned me that the burgers are really thin. So I'm thinking ok, that's fine. But she said no, they are like "see-through" thin, lol, so of course now I HAD to try it, and I got the double burger. Immediately after getting back to my office with the burger I opened it up to see if it was noticeably thinner than other burger places. It really is y'all. Definitely get the double if you want to taste a little meat with that bread. The meat is so thin that it's all I really remember about the sandwich. The tomatoes, the onions, the sauce...those flavors all overpower what you're really paying for, which is supposed to be the steakburger.
Oh, also, those little bitty shoestring fries are annoying. It's one thing to be a shoestring fry, but when it's a shoestring fry that's the size of a matchstick, it's not even going to taste like a French fry at that point. The fries did have an interesting seasoning on them. They just need to be a little bigger.
If I come back here, I'll probably try the hotdog and onion rings. I think I'm over the burger...
