It was my first time eating here and the jambalaya was too mushy! It has big chunks of chicken that looks like it had been pulled from old chicken and the sausage was old too! The white beans weren't great and I think it's a bad idea to put green salad on a plate with food they someone may have to microwave later! My daughter had the red beans and rice plate. They were had and not creamy, like beans from Louisiana is known to be! Overall, I have went to cook-offs and had better jambalaya from amateur cooks that was delicious, but this jambalaya doesn't even make my top 5 or 10. Even, the stuff in the box is better than this jambalaya! I gave 2 stars, 1 for the green salad and 1...

The food was as close to home cooking as your going to get. We were so excited we ordered white beans, gumbo, jambalaya, boudin and corn. It was all very good! The staff was extremely friendly. I was touched by their kindness when a local homeless man was arrested and they took his cart and moved it back behind the shop for him. Some people need a little bit of help and the workers here are the type of people to give a hand when it's needed. They won my loyalty by...

It comes with 2 mini crawfish pies, your choice of side (I get white beans), a large portion of jambalaya and a side of gumbo with rice. If you're not from Louisiana, I will tell you that everyone makes gumbo differently, and no one I personally know makes gumbo like the Jambalaya Shoppe, however, it is my favorite thing I get there. It comes as a savory, rich broth full of large chunks of chicken and sausage with a side of...
