This is our first time trying poboy express. We were craving some poboy so thought why not try this place as one of my colleague recommended it. Tried to call to place a order but their phones came busy for around 20 mins straight. So went through the drive through to place the order and none of the prices were there, everything was placed as market price. They have 2 options for poboys regular and large (am not sure if they didnt put how long their sizes are or i overlooked it). Placed an order for one fried shrimp poboy, one shrimp Philly poboy and one chicken philly poboy all in large size. Was surprised with how much it cost. When i went home and opened it i realised why it cost so much. The large are actually quite large poboys. The taste is amazing.. they were cut into 4 portions each, so all of us tried all the different one. Each of us had a different one as a favorite. These poboys hit right at the spot for our cravings.
The 4 stars is for the taste and the service person i spoke to was very kind. The food came out fresh and all. It lost one star for how long we had to wait to get our order (but again it might be becoz i was in the drive...
Read morePulled in to the drive thru at 8:46. Waited for the car ahead of me to order. It was my turn at approximately 8:49 and the call box message said the restaurant was closed. A female employee came outside and said I could leave… They were closed. I asked, “At 8:50???” She said, “Yes.” I explained to her my order was an easy one. Just a roast beef poboy and a Diet Coke. She said they could not accommodate, as they were closed. I was blocked in by another customer and could not back out. I asked if they could at least sell me a Diet Coke and she said no! I explained as a fellow restaurant owner, my staff would be fired for turning away business even if it was 10 minutes after closing. She again told me to leave and said I could voice my concerns with the owner who would be in at 8 AM tomorrow. I have patronaged Poboy Express for decades…Long before the Seigen Lane store even existed. Never again! I told the employee her attitude will be the reason she’ll be in a minimum wage job for the rest of her life. She told me she made WAY MORE than minimum wage. That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a...

The employee at the window was very professional and attentive, and I got the forks and napkins I had requested. The catfish po-boy was very good--I was wishing I had gotten the 16" just because of the taste, but the 8" was enough to get full from. It had tomatoes, and shredded lettuce, but not too much. Some places overload lettuce to make sandwiches appear bigger, but this one was just right. The fries were ok, though I was hoping for crinkle cut instead of straight cut fries, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. The only notable issue was the stuffed jalapeños. They were tiny, just slightly bigger than baby carrots. I'd never seen or eaten stuffed jalapeños that small before at any restaurant. They tasted ok, but the fried batter didn't help them much, and being that it was the end of the night was probably why the grease appeared to be a bit old. Still, I'd definitely return to Po-Boy Express, and maybe tried a seafood combination plate--and I'll wash it down with another...
