We had Carry-out NOT delivery and this is the first time in a very long time we've had the order 100% right and it was the hottest pizza I've ever had from any pizza place whether it was carry-out or delivery or even at a dine-in pizza place (like Pizza Hut and Mr. Gatti's/Gatti Land) I had to let it cool off, we actually had to wait at least 5 minutes maybe longer for it to cool off enough before it could be picked up or even touched. This was not our usual location for getting Domino's, we live in the Highlands area in Louisville, KY. and we had to stop ordering from Domino's because there was always something wrong where our pizza was delivered. They either messed the order up, forgot something and even refused our order online and when I called to see what was wrong I was told that they were short staffed and they were closed. I would get surveys through my email about my order so I wouldn't give them a good rating and after several times of this and receiving free items or discounts in my emails the reason why I stopped ordering from them was the last survey I submitted about my order and service I received a reply email stating that I needed to talk to their corporate office. I'm assuming it was thought that I was just giving them a bad review so I could get free food. I've worked in the restaurant business off and on since I was 16 and this was a total of 31 years (I was 47, 3 years ago) and I didn't care about free food I just wanted them to make sure there staff, including management, knew their job.... meaning train their staff better, retrain them again or maybe just train them. Dominos at 10011 Dixie Hwy in Valley Station proved to us that they only have horrible customer service to offer and nothing but incompetent employees running the place!!! They weren't offering delivery when we ordered, which we understood because we know a lot of businesses are under staffed right now. So we ordered carry out and went to pickup at the time it gave us when ordering. After waiting a bit and seeing other people arrive after us get their pizza and go, we went in to ask about how long it would be and was rudely told the tracker and time given is never right and it would be a few minutes....about 30 minutes later they bring out our order and it's wrong. We ended up just asking for a refund and left after a wasted 45-55 minutes of our time wasted. About 10-15 minutes after getting home we get a call asking where we are parked because apparently they remade our order after refunding us, but never told us they were going to do that. I brought 2 kiddos to pick up our pizzas and the staff was super sweet to the kids even tho I felt the kiddos were causing a disturbance, the staff were super sweet and understanding about kids are energetic! Got our pizzas, got home and I didn't check at the store but realized we got a wrong pizza, out of like 6 items. Drove back and they were so kind about it, remade the pizza immediately and, they know what they did, but went above and beyond. Little did they know, this dinner was for a couple struggling moms and they're kindness and just pure sweetness just makes me so thankful and hopeful about humanity.
