Definitely a questionable experience. I originally placed an online order. I had got a combo meal + a concrete shake. Mostly everything came out right except the onion rings and the concrete shake. They also forgot utensils and straws. The shake itself didn’t seem like it really had anything in it and then they also forgot the whipped cream and cherry. Although i paid for the onion rings, it only came with about 5, reaching less than half of the bag it came in. I was annoyed but not very upset, and i called the store to let them know of the mistake. I had to call three times before someone picked up. I asked for a manager and i began to talk to anthony. He is very understanding and even though I made it clear to him that I just wanted to inform them and didn’t want anything out of it, he still graciously offered to replace the entire meal. This was probably the peak of the customer service. So a couple of days later I went back to the store to cash in on that offer. I told them exactly what anthony had told me to say and at first it seemed like it was going alright. When I got up to the window, everything changed. A blonde woman whom i’m guessing was the manager began to question me, even though i had went over it with the cashier. After waiting 5 more minutes after that, she decided to not honor what i was promised and only comped off the onion rings and the shake and proceeded to have me pay for the combo meal, in which i didn’t even want the fries. This entire time she was talking with eerily visible attitude. I was extremely polite the entire time and the same respect wasn’t shown back. The food wasn’t really that bad so i thought this was going to start to be a regular place for me but it was by far one of the most unwelcoming and inconsistent...
Read moreWe finally made it to the new Freddy's in Fern Creek on Labor Day for lunch. The first critical thing that hits you is the loudness and crampedness of the restaurant atmosphere. Between the other patron's, their crying kids, and the very distorted loud speaker poorly announcing orders ready for pickup, it's difficult for even the cashiers to hear customer orders. That is my biggest issue. Also, where you order is very close to tables where other customers eat which would have been annoying if seated there. The food is good mostly. My wife and I both had burgers but for some reason when she asked for mayo the attendant kept asking she wanted condiments fustrating her bacon burger order I asked for mayo and on my double and recieved it. I just didn't receive the lettuce I think I requested (not a big deal). Getting our food took only a few minutes as they have about 20 employees quickly preparing the order. It seemed very efficient. The burgers were good as the beef tasted fresh. The toppings were very good as well. My onion rings were disappointing so I'd recommend the fries or curds instead. My daughter liked her chicken tenders as they were very served hot. I think they looked small compared to most fast food tenders. We got Turtle sundaes which were good. The custard was very creamy. I wish they'd offer a flavor of the day and better prices as a special. My tips for going to Freddy's. Order online, pickup up in the drive thru, don't order the onion rings, and ask for...
Read moreThis was our first visit to this location, although we've been to many other Freddy's. This location is right is easy to get to (it's right on Bardstown Rd). I got the sads, though, because it's in the location of what used to be Big Boy. While I much prefer Big Boy I'm OK with Freddy's going in its place.
I'm the kind of guy who usually finds what he likes at a place and pretty much sticks to it. Oddly, I have 2 things at Freddy's. The Jalapeño Pepper Jack Double Steak Burger or the Patty Melt. On this visit I decided to try something new, and that's the spicy chicken sandwich. While I'm not much of a breaded chicken sandwich person I figured "new location, new food item". The order taker told me the chicken isn't spicy, but that the sauce that put on it is. I appreciate that!
Less than ten minutes later and our food was ready. Prepared just like we ordered, and to borrow a phrase from my fast-food days, "hot food hot". I was mostly disappointed in the chicken sandwich, though. The "spicy" wasn't so much, and I figured that the sauce they added was basically their Spicy Fry Sauce. Not giving this sandwich high marks.
Everything else about our visit was great. I know this location is relatively new, but they seem to have worked out the kinks and things seem to be running pretty smoothly. I just know next time not to step outside my...
