Read moreHave never left a review like this, but I feel I have to in this case... I went into Graeter's and picked up some pints of Ice Cream, and headed to the checkout. At the checkout, the young lady asked me verbatim "Would you like a water to go?" I said, "Sure I'll take a water" as I was a little parched, and I thought that was very nice of her to ask. I swiped my card, and she then said "waters are in the cooler behind you." I didn't see her add it to my ring-up, but she did, which I found to be incredibly dishonest... never in the history of any establishment has "would you like a water to go?" meant anything other than a fountain water in a cup to go... and I'm not against up-sales, but this was nothing short of deceptive trickery. There are a million ways to ask someone if they want to purchase a water bottle without deceiving them, but the verbiage used was 100% intentional trickery, and as much as I've loved the ice cream here, and I've been going here for 20 years, I'll have a hard time supporting a business that pulls stuff like this on its loyal customers. Very bad business tactics trying to trick customers into up-sales using phrases like that when in any restaurant anywhere in America, that means a free cup of...
So I am outside graters today, reached there at 10:07 mackayla came to us and said the store closes at 10 we cannot scoop anymore more ice creams it is not yet updated on website, you can buy packed icecream though. I understood this and went to get something packed. There was a lady behind me for whom I saw her scooping ice cream after saying no to me. I then went to her and politely asked her to scoop for me as-well which she then did. My question here is why was she willing to do it for the lady behind me and not me and my son?? And did only after she did for them. I respected that the store was closed ? We should all be treated equally I feel. Very...
Read moreWe have a Graeter's where we live around Pittsburgh, PA and we were happy to find our favorite place for ice cream. It's really good stuff, lots of flavors, and other things to get too. We were in Louisville, KY this time and this was about a mile from where we stayed at the Hampton Inn Louisville Northeast. It's tricky to find because it's situated in a side of the road shopping center location, but don't give up. Graeter's has a nice history you can read about on the wall, a friendly staff, it's clean, neat, and you can dine-in but you can take your treat to go too. This particular location was 9430 Brownsboro Road. ...
