Let me start off by saying, I am NOT a buffet person, however my kiddos LOVE them. Now, with that being said I didn't love or hate this place. It was very middle of the road with this place. This biggest problem I had with this place is, I think they make up the prices as they go. I went in on a Sunday to check the prices and brought my kiddos on Monday and the prices were different. (More expensive). I also hated the fact that they had a sign that said, " Uneaten food will be charged a Fee" ....In my opinion, that sign is ABSOLUTELY TACKY...isn't it a BUFFET?? The food wasn't hot HOT it was very lukewarm. The servers weren't really personable and very "Business as usual" if you know what mean. They cleared our used plate almost IMMEDIATELY. Also lets be clear the SUSHI part of this restaurant is laughable. The "sushi" is a very very very small piece of "filling" with more rice ROLLED into the sushi than anything else. As a sushi lover, I've never seen anything like it. Last thing, we got there around 3, lunch is over at 3:30 & they start putting out dinner. They have labels that say "dinner" for the dinner items and I was told that if we got any of the items, we would be charged extra. HOWEVER, the lunch items that were removed for "Dinner" were gone. Overall, would I go back? No, I don't have to, unless my kids beg me.

There were good things and not so good things. Good easy ample plaza parking. Easy to get to location. Quick welcome and fast seating. There is a lot of food variety, and some great plates. From salads, to soups to grilled fried dishes to sushi. You will find something you like here. Servers are friendly, quick and professional. Even when they had to deal with running kids who took the restaurant as the park and the parents were laid back chatting or checking cell stuff. Be warned that people have hot food on plates. Many dishes, some were excellent and some were ok. The sushi rolls something is off, the guy makes them there but the roll feels stale. Not sure if maybe the rice has been cooked for hours or something. Some other dishes were not bad, but like many buffets different recipes yet had the same flavor. For Sunday night it was a but more expensive, but say some higher end dishes so I think that is the higher price. I will go and try weekday lunch. All in all a good convenient Chinese buffet. Place could use some renovations, fox broken pieces etc but in general in good shape. I'll be back often, not in love but I liked it.

First time here, and I didn't read reviews going in. That's not what I expected for a strip mall buffet. The outside is nothing like the inside. I'll bet back in the day this was a beautiful restaurant, but time is gaining on it. Seats are worn-out and a little ware on the tables. Service was friendly and fast. Food, I expected a lot more variety in sushi šŸ£ because of the name, and except for the Chinese food standards, there was nothing that stood out. Nice lunch but, not a place I would say you have to try it. Price was too much for what you get. I took a lot of pictures because the atmosphere and the size of the space is really nice. But over all, not great.. Taco Loco across the street has better food by far. 12/05/22 ; I tried Hibachi Sushi again for lunch. I can't change my original review. It is just as I described before.

My husband and I are new to the area and have been looking for a good buffet with sushi. We have seen this restaurant has two different addresses, went to the one on Preston Hwy today, and were pretty disappointed. I will start by saying the decor and atmosphere are great and the staff are extremely attentive to clean and clear the tables and area when a table leaves.

As far as the food and overall experience, not good. Some dishes looked appetizing, many did not. Breading was doughy, vegetables were overcooked, beef was bland and just didn't taste right no matter the dish. The sushi was not labeled and of the five different kinds I tried, I would only recommend one- but it was one of the fried rolls and mixed in with other fried rolls so I couldn't even begin to tell you what it was. The temperature of the food on the buffet was barely warm to begin with and it was so cold in the restaurant, our food became cold in just a matter of a minute or two- which would help explain why the lo mein noodles were so greasy. I did not try the desserts, but they looked very comparable to other Chinese buffets. I DID like the black pepper chicken, Hawaiian chicken, and green beans.

A side note- the bathroom was clean, albeit dingy compared to the rest of the restaurant; but the floors were very sticky. Yuck.

In summary: While the prices were decent, the food was not and I cannot justify spending $30 (with tip) on a lunch that was just not enjoyable. Great staff but I will...

We were visiting Louisville for a weekend getaway and stopped here along the drive to get some food on July 3rd at around 3pm to 4pm. Like most buffets we went in ordered our drinks and proceeded to the buffet to get our food. The facility had a very nice setting and the food was delicious. However, we did not know our experience would be as it turned out to be. My brother had come back from the table with his plate of food and while he was "actively" eating from his plate, the server came right up and grabbed the plate from him and told him that he could not eat the food. We were so shocked at what just happened and as we stared at her with disbelief then she informed us that the food he was eating was part of the dinner menu. There were clearly no signs letting us know that this transition had occurred or that we had the option to pay for the dinner fee, which would have been no issue had they told us. We requested to speak to the manager but he hid away and never came out. We were so disgusted we ended up leaving in the middle of our meal. The food may have been delicious but I would never return. We spent for a table of nine and just walked out in the middle of our meal because we sat there waiting for the manager who kept sending other servers to our table to justify what she did was right by repeating the same thing over...
