What a find! I noticed La Palma on Preston Highway when I was going to and fro doing errands. Finally stopped in for lunch. This place is a small and casual café serving Cuban home cooking combo plates in cafeteria style.
I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t speak any Spanish, but the menu is simple and clear enough to understand, and the food choices are displayed in plainly visible cafeteria style containers, from which they scoop to make your plate, so ordering was easy.
They are generous with portions! I actually had to indicate please no more on my plate, lol, and I still ended up waddling outta there stuffed! Everything looks mouthwateringly good, I will definitely return to try their other dishes. It was hard for me to choose, but I ended up going with a combo plate of beef mince/Picadillo, yellow rice, plantains, and vegetable medley (green beans and carrots). I got a cute little bottle of lucious guava nectar for beverage.
Wow, their food is absolutely delicious! 🌟 And their prices are quite reasonable. La Palma is worth stopping by for authentic home cooking style Cuban food. Happy to have this in...

Entirely too much for me to finish in even two meals. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a simple place with high quality authentic Cuban. Fast friendly service as well. Oh, and the Cuban...
