So…a lot went wrong but at least the manager was nice and tried to fix things. First they took very long to get our drinks. Then they brought my wife the wrong food, which isn’t really the worst of that part. The worst part is that they took so long to get the right food out that everyone else was finished eating. Mind you this was my wife’s Mother’s Day dinner, and she didn’t even get to eat it. Then it took a good bit of time to get her a box to take it and then the check. They gave her the sandwich they brought out by mistake for free but no one wanted that. All in all it was just not that great of an experience. Food was good though. I’ll go again and like I said they at least tried to make it better.

Update: we did a pickup/carry out order there tonight (07/13/24) and it went great. The guy who got our order to us did a great job of going through each item and taking the time to ensure that everything was there and correct. He was very helpful and professional. Our order was accurate and everything tasted great. We had a big order too as we have guests at our home. So I am very happy with...

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not a place to go for Real BBQ. The cornbread was dry and tasteless. The brisket was mostly fat and tough. Pulled pork was ok but it was dry. The baby back ribs were passable but not memorable. The pasta salad, which is something that is usually very good, was bland. The Mac and cheese was pasty. The baked potato was under cooked and old. The wings were decent but there was so much sauce that I could barely hold on to them. Overall the food was luke warmat best. The waitress, Rachel, could have saved the experience but instead decided to ignore our table for some reason and was very sociable to her other tables. We were not what you would call a high maintenance table. We didn't even need refills. Good thing because we only saw her a total of 4 times. To get our drink order, food order, a box and finally a check. The last 2 of those times we had to flag her down and call out for her just to get these items. If you want real BBQ I would suggest Momma's BBQ on Hurstbourne Ln. or City BBQ...

Mark's Feed Store is a Louisville business that consistently offers excellent food, good service, good value, and clean locations. No wonder they are a Louisville favorite. We recently visited the Fern Creek location on Bardstown Rd near the Gene Snyder (I-265) for a family gathering. We were able to reserve their room for large groups and it was a huge blessing. It was a Friday evening. We met at 4:30. By 5:00 PM the restaurant was bustling, busy and filling up. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and very personable. Our out-of-town guests told us we did a great job picking a place to meet as the food was great! Marks has their own BBQ sauce. They is a red sauce, that I prefer, a yellow sauce that is a Marks signature sauce which is a mustard sauce, and a hot, red sauce. The red sauce and yellow sauces are very good with good flavor but not overwhelming. I can't speak on the hot sauce. The fries are seasoned and good, I also like their fried corn on the cob. My son's favorite pie is the Buttermilk Pie...

As part of louisville burger week, I ordered from mark's feed store for the first time. I ordered easily from their website and pick up was a breeze. A+ for that part. My burger meat was really well done. No redness in the middle at all. The meat was tasty though, just burned. Sweet potato fries were good, I never had them covered with brown sugar before. My burger was topped with fried onions and pickles, which also were good, but the whole meal was just too greasy. I will order from the feed store again, though I will specify not to overcook the meat. I would also go with a little less greasy burger next time. Thanks for being a part of burger week!

The fish is an overlooked dish! Try it! We always get the pulled pork, chicken or brisket, which are good. Try the fish! It will not disappoint. It is flavored with a lemon/pepper seasoning and fried to perfection. The green beans are always a side that matches any dish. The dinner plate comes with two huge pieces of fish that you can split with a friend for lunch or take a piece home for later.

Was a little hesitant when I walked in. Feels like a dingy cracker barrell. But the food was very food, ribs are either the very good or horrible, no in between. They were fall off the bone and delicious. Fries were seasoned well and a nice highlight. Mac and cheese was meh, which I feel a bbq joint should always have a good mac.
