Moby Dick Bashford Manor — Restaurant in Louisville

I stopped to get a to go order. I ordered a Whale of a Sandwich and an order of fries. The last time there I ordereda First Mate meal and got a piece of fish that was so small I used i slice of bread cut in half for my sandwich. So I had seen other customers with the huge pieces of fish with their Whale sandwich so I thought I will get that and have enough fish for 2 sandwiches. Nope. I still got 2 teenie tiny pieces of fish. But my biggest thing was this. The gentlemen in front of me got his sandwich and felt the bag. He said he wanted a fresh piece fo fish cooked not something that had been sitting under the heat lamp. So they took it back, told the line cook the problem. He presented another sandwich for the man. The man said, this is not fresh. Did you give me the same piece of fish back? He gave the sandwich back to them and said I want a fresh piece of fish cooked. The girl at the register said and I quote " Sir, do you want your money back or you want the sandwich because he is not going to cook you a fresh piece of fish" The man left. I would have gotten a manager and they would have seen a crazy lady appear. But from what I see the Manager is the line cook and he obviously doesnt care. My fish that I got today, dried out and hard which means it was already cooked, sitting under the heat lamp and it was just dropped into the fryer again to reheat it. Not to mention the portions are so small. I paid $16 for 2 teenie pieces of fish and fries that were also reheated in the fryer. I will not go back as this is my 3rd horrible experience there and the last one was a few weeks ago, never have heard back from anyone about it after my very lengthy complaint. Yep 3 strikes and you are out. I can get better, bigger and cheaper...

We called and explained to the owner who defended his employee for her rudeness. We explained that $5.00 + $3.35 =$8.35. That we wanted the meal for $8.25. She was rude in front of all the customers that said we was right. She kept telling us to pay more for the side. We explained we already paid and paid actually .10 cents more if they did the math. Then as I spoke with the OWNER of this place I told him the food was cut in half and the fish was extremely hard. He laughed and started to make fun of us. At this point we recorded the fish hard as a brick and hit the table with it. Showing how hard the fish was and couldn't be eaten. He laughed. So I told him fine, thank you, and we will contact the better business bureau since he wants to defend this disgusting food. He just lost 5 ppl so far who heard and all agreed they are not coming back. We paid $37.21 for the WORST FOOD EVER!!!!! If I could leave a review with zero stars I would. Pitiful and the Owner equals the restaurant....

I was a bit disappointed when I got home and was ready for lunch. My two peices of fish were like two halves of the normal size I've gotten at the other locations. The hush puppy had a strangely different taste than anywhere else as well. The tarter sauce too had something added into the mix (which I was unable to purchase a bottle like I had done before at the other locations). All in all, I guess I feel like I went to some other fish joint that didn't compare to my visits at other Moby Dicks. (BTW I very seldom eat fish at ANY fast food location, so when I expect the food to be as awesome as my visits have been at the other Moby Dick stores, I feel like I was short changed drastically). Also $22 plus some change for a 1- pc sandwich, shrooms and a 2 - pc no bread add extra tartar saucenothing else order, kind of sucks. I can't afford to go back to ANY Moby Dick locations, UNLESS I was/am offered a redo... Yeah, right? 🙄 in my dreams! Chalk it up to "DON'T GO TO THIS MD...
