Months ago I brought my elderly parents to the restaurant. We came on a Tuesday when we could buy one burrito and get the second one free. My mother and I get burritos. The ground beef has been getting seasoned so hot now it is barely tolerable.. I get a burrito dinner and she gets a burrito. My Dad ordered two tacos with a side of refried beans. We were shocked when I got our bill! We didn't get the bogo because it is only for dinners! We were also charged for 2 ala cart tacos with a side of beans in stead of the meal! Needless to say we were not happy with the witness for not making us aware of this when we were ordering! She never said anything! We said we would never go back! Well,,today we decided to try again. BIG MISTAKE! First thing was our waitress acted like she was on speed! She did not let us talk to order our food! She interrupted and was writing down what she was saying. I had to correct our order. However, she caused me to forget some details. My Dad does not do dairy. I told her no sour cream but forgot to say no cheese. Sent them back with my apologies. Came back with cheese still on them. Sent them back again. The tacos came back correct this time however, every time they were "remade" they actually were not! Each time they came back there was less meat, lettuce and tomato on them. Thats because they were scrapping the cheese out and sending what was left back out. So each time he lost ingredients! The food did not taste fresh to boot. So with all of this going on we did not enjoy our time nor our meals! In the past we have always walked out with at least one carry out container. This time nothing came home! Also, they upcharge for using a debit or credit card. You are not told this detail prior to getting the bill. Needless to say they have lost customers as we will not go back. This was the final straw. I have always loved Tumbleweed and went frequently. They will never stay in business this way. The amount of money we spent could have paid for a meal at a much nicer place with much better food. I am sorry to see my time eating there end on this sad not however, nothing was done to try to keep our business or make our time there pleasant. I guess they don't care that they are losing customers. So, I end with this. Good luck Tumbleweed. You are one of the few left in Louisville and I doubt you have much longer. I noticed today there was only us and one other table of people. It is sad what you have...
Read moreOn a weekday, unknown, I arrived fifteen minutes prior to posted closing hour.
I was greeted and seated with no comment as to being too late to serve. Bar entry area 40 percent occupied. Four (4) other dining tables were in operation.
I requested a margarita and my waiter told me the bar closed down four (4) minutes before this (made last call) I inquired into the time. I cordially mentioned I came to this restaurant as I wanted a margarita with my dinner. He was adamant about it being too late to receive this service. I stated I could have gone to El Nopal had I been aware (they have extended hours) still not knowing restaurant (not just the bar) closed at 9:00 pm.
I requested a serving plate with my chips and salsa; said I wanted both hot and mild as I like to mix them. I received one small bowl (probably quarter cup) salsa and the saucer. I attempted to inquire with a few others what type salsa I had but was basically ignored other than by a smile, no condiments were on my table.
I asked my server if he would mind if I asked the bartender if I may get a margarita. [When spending $15 for dinner (and alone) I prefer a coctail]. He said fine. The bartender said he had just made last call when I came in, however he still had sufficient supplies to do this.
My waiter avoided me. I know he seen me attempt to get his attention, I was still attempting to find out whether my sauce was hot or mild, I was only given a small single bowl. He washed tables, etc, probably 15 minutes before he came to my table, each time he came from kitchen area (facing me directly) I would wave or request (Sir) his service to my table. He told me he had mixed the sauces. I requested another bowl as mine was exhausted (very limited). He brought this one, very watery.
I had asked my salad be served at the same time my entree was served.
I was never the only remaining patron in the facility. I had to request a pepper shaker from another employee. My potato was served lukewarm and my salad was shredded lettuce.
I am caucasian, this waiter African American, I feel this may of been his issue...
Read moreI called and placed an order over the phone during my lunch break. The young man who answered the phone was very nice and respectful, he placed me on hold and transferred me over to the "To-Go" desk to place my order. The girl with the Red Hair who answered was very rude and disrespectful, she answered and said "How can I help you?" I said "I would like to place a pick up order...she said what can I get you? I asked to order the Cheeseburger Slider lunch special...she said what type of cheese would you like an I said American...and then she asked me Regular or Waffle fries and I couldn't hear her and then she repeated it with an attitude and said the same thing I said waffle fries she told me my total and then hung up on me. I drove there and when I went to the to-go station she said did you have the sliders I said yes. In the process of her going to get my food I asked her can I get a extra bourbon sauce and she ignored me and didn't say anything, when she came back she asked did I want any ketchup for my fries I said yes, she said what did you say I said yes please. After she finally brought me my food I asked was the Bourbon sauce in there she said I heard you 3 times you don't have to keep telling me! I replied I just wanted to make sure you heard me and I said I don't understand why you have to be sooo rude to your customers and she said if that's how you feel oh well I don't know what to tell you, so I told her to just give me my food because she was making me mad! I immediately called the Manager and informed him of my experience this is the 3rd time I have been there and had a HORRIBLE experience with her and informed the other manager the 2nd time it happened and they told me they were going to take care it and nothing has changed. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth and I guess she called her self being smart because instead of her putting Bourbon sauce in my bag she put BBQ sauce, this is my last time coming to...
