Wheated Pizza: Where the Crust is Always Right! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
In a city where pizza is as ubiquitous as pigeons and questionable fashion choices, Wheated Pizza stands out like a unicorn at a horse race. Their Brooklyn location has been serving up slices so delicious, they could make even the most hardened New Yorker crack a smile.
But wait, there's more! Wheated has gone and opened a second location in Louisville, KY, and let me tell you, the pizza there is even better than the original. It's like they took the recipe, sprinkled it with some Kentucky magic, and created a pizza that's so good, it should come with a warning label: "May cause uncontrollable joy and spontaneous dancing."
The crust? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly charred in all the right places. It's like a love letter to your taste buds, signed, sealed, and delivered with a side of garlic knots.
The toppings? Fresh, flavorful, and applied with the precision of a Michelin-starred chef. Whether you're a fan of the classics or you like to live on the wild side with toppings like fig and prosciutto, Wheated has got you covered.
And let's not forget the sauce. It's tangy, it's sweet, it's the perfect balance of acidity and umami. It's like they bottled up the essence of a perfect summer day and poured it all over your pizza.
In conclusion, if you're in Brooklyn or Louisville and you're craving pizza that's a cut above the rest, look no further than Wheated. Just remember, one bite everyone knows the rules, but trust me, you'll want to take more than one bite of this pizza. It's a slice of heaven on Earth, and I'm already planning my next...
Read moreI came here from out of town after doing a TikTok search. We came in- they took us right upstairs. It was very cute. We ordered the meatballs- phenomenal- the arugula salad- amazing and a pizza. The waitress took the meatball plate after they were gone. Great. The salad however, we kept for the pizza. She came by while we were chatting, took the remaining salad; which I eat with my pizza. We didn’t notice until the pizza came and I was searching for the salad bowl. It’s no where to be found. We ask her if she took it because there was still salad. She stated she took it because she asked if we were done. No one remembers this and we were only half a drink in. We asked her about it and she asked if we wanted another one. My husband politely said it doesn’t have to be a full one but my wife eats it with her pizza. I got it. It wasn’t NEARLY as tasteful as the first salad, but I appreciated she made another salad and I had it with my last slice. I asked her to bring the dressing and she brought me straight olive oil. Please read the menu to find that it’s not just olive oil. Sheer laziness? I’d hate for this waitress to ruin anyone else’s experience. But anyways, We get the check, and she charged us for both! She never ever mentioned that it would costs us extra for mistake or throwing it away. I’m non confrontational so I said let’s just leave. Had I been confrontational I would have asked for my salad to be removed. Super upset, as I thought people in Kentucky were as nice as us Mississippians. I guess not all...
Read moreVery nice atmosphere - my group sat upstairs and we were impressed by the design and craftsmanship of the trim details and lots of reclaimed materials. loved the moody vibe upstairs and the really cool hidden doors for the restrooms. the meatball appetizer was amazing with the cloud of cheese on top. friends raved about the starter salad. the reason for 3 stars is how burnt the pizzas were. I am used to a little bit of black specs and areas from a pizza oven, and i’ve had plenty of pizza in my day, but i was not prepared for 60% of the crust to be black, as well as the underside of the pizza. the server was very nice when i told her of my concern, and offered to have a new pie made, but I declined because i was with a group and I didn’t want to hold everyone up, since it was close to 9pm. maybe it’s the sourdough, but i’ve had sour dough pizza from MozzPi and it was not black like what I had at Wheated. before going, i had never heard of this place or seen any pictures of what the pizza would look like (no photos on the menu) so I was taken aback. the crust was inedible - it left a charred taste in my mouth that was not pleasant. The pizza i ordered was the spinach-sausage with white sauce (i think the name started with a C) and that part of the pizza was really good! I just can’t get over being served and expected to eat something that is black from being burnt. I would not return, unless i was absolutely sure the pizza would be...
