Jonestown Diner — Restaurant in Lower Paxton Township

Edit 8/31/25: We decided to give this place another try since our first time wasn’t too bad. We got seated immediately and the host was very nice. We waited awhile and not one single person came to even take our drink order. I was already ready to leave after waiting so long but the kicker for us was when two people came in and right after they sat down (right next to us) their server came right over and took their drink orders. Walked right past us lol. We left and won’t be back. The food isn’t worth the money and the service is obviously terrible.

The inside has been beautifully decorated. They have big TVs and music playing. Also they have a reward program set up with points earned per every dollar you spend and with so many points you can earn $5 off your bill which is nice. My server was very friendly and attentive as well.

I ordered the western omelette and my husband ordered the smash burger. He said that his burger was good and fries were piping hot. My food was a bit bland which is why I took off a star. I was surprised that the home fries were not actually home fries.. more like mashed potatoes? They had absolutely zero flavor so I had to add a bunch of salt and pepper. Similar with my omelette, it was just okay. Tons of peppers and onions (almost too much) but somehow still kinda bland. My toast was also burnt. I ordered a slice of oreo pie to go and it wasn’t great. I understand with new restaurants it can be a learning curve but next time i’ll be trying...

Went to the diner on August 5, it was just after the lunchtime rush. 3 young servers were sitting at the bar on their phones, two other servers were with patrons and the cashier was cashing out customers. Cashier advised that I could seat myself. I did and patiently waited, for my server. After a few minutes, I realize nobody was attending me so I stood up up a little bit in my booth so I could see if why no one greeted me! As I imagined things were slowing down, so I decided to start a timer to see just how long it was going to take someone to come to my table. No one ever showed up at my table! After 8:22 of being ignored, I got up and left since now 2 wait staff and the cashier were all sitting at the bar watching TV or with their heads buried in phones. I get that they slowed down, but to be completely ignored by at least 4 staff is really embarrassing to ownership, unprofessional and ridiculous. Sorry couldn’t review the food, just the horrible lack of service. I brought my concern to the attention of the cashier whom seemed surprised that I was even...

Stopped here for breakfast a few days after they first opened. I'm so glad to see this diner open in a building that had been vacant since the restaurant Crave closed.Bright clean interior, spacious areas for booth seating. There is plenty of table seating. Counter seating also. Extensive menu, senior menu, and daily specials. Breakfast served all day. Friendly staff. Met the owner, who is pleasant and currently hands-on. We each had omelets with hash browns and toast. Spinach with cheese omelet, which was filled with plenty of spinach and cheese. Ham and cheese omelet....and again...plenty of ham and cheese. Everything was exactly as ordered and served quickly. Excellent coffee. We certainly will be back to try some of their specials. Plenty of parking....
