I visited this location in 2021 for the first time. I remember the first words at the drive thru: only taking exact change and cards. Then there was a remodeling of the building that took forever and made it sort of unappealing to get food from a place under construction. I've visit the location several times during 2022 and 2023. Now it's January 2024. I just heard the same exact words today while getting some tenders: only taking exact change and cards. In all these years they still don't know how to run a business. I've been a retail manager and on the rare occasions we ran out of change we would rush to a bank and we would also encourage local customers to exchange their rolls with us. It's very clear by now they just don't care about this. The service is terrible. I just ordered 3 chicken tenders (without combo) and was wondering how much it was. The employee told me to go ahead to the next window to know the total (??). $8.47!!! That was the total. If she had given me the total while still on the speaker I would've upgraded to a combo for about $2 more. But I paid the amount with one thing in mind: I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS KFC AGAIN. And just in case it's a local franchise not even to the ones in the area. I want no business with them. Terrible customer service (you have to greet and wish a great day to the associates on the window because they're always in a bad mood ), so-so food, unfriendly business methods and high prices? If you are reading this take your business to the competitors (Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, etc.). Their prices might not differ significantly but the ability to take a $20 bill and make a transaction, the ability to not feel like you are bothering an employee with your transaction and the ability to know what you are going to pay before you move to the next phase of the transaction is appealing...
Read moreI visited 2 weeks ago. I went through the drive thru and there was a sign on the speaker saying sorry for the inconvenience but the speaker was not working, so there was a very long line, I just waited. About 12-15 mins after waiting I had finally got to the window only to have to order my food and wait for it to be done all at once, but fine.. no big deal. I ordered me and my mother both a $5 fill up box but I wanted to tweak it a bit, not concerned with the extra cash that it would cost. I asked the young man at the window could we both please have a breast and a thigh (instead of the breast and drum). He said it would be extra and I said, no problem. I then asked for wedges as the side (instead of mashed potatoes and gravy), he said ok. Then I asked could we also please instead of the cookie, could we have a biscuit, then some woman from the back who was boxing the food starts to yell from behind the window "NO! SHE CANT DO THAT! YOU CANT CHANGE A COOKIE OUT FOR A BISCUIT!". I ignored her and my mom told the young man what we wanted to drink. She then told him, instead of wedges, she wants coleslaw. The woman in the back yelled again "THEY BOTH ALREADY SAID THEY WANTED POTATO WEDGES! NO!". So, then I finally said, "The woman back there needs to box the food, do her job, and mind her damn business up here and let you do your job. The man smirked and eventually gave us our bag with our food. My mom then asked him, "Is this everything hon?" He said, "Yes". We pulled off and I immediately opened our boxes so that we could eat a biscuit on the way home and guess what?! SHE PUT A BREAST AND A DRUM IN BOTH OF OUR BOXES ANYWAYS, EVEN THOUGH WE PAID EXTRA FOR EVERYTHING! Moral of the story is......
Read moreGrowing up living within 5-minute walking distance of a KFC, my family and I know this place well or at least the one in East Baltimore on Greenmount Avenue. My significant other wanted some fried chicken, but not too crunchy so KFC won over Popeyes. She wanted a 3 piece wing meal, with a biscuit, Mac and cheese and a Pepsi with no ice. To my surprise that meal didn't exist on the app or drive thru menu board. The crew member told me it wasn't a meal but only came with 3 wings and a biscuit, the side was extra. So I had to order another meal that came with a side and drink to complete the additional mission of ordering some of what caught my nose for myself. The smell was that famous recipe I remember from decades ago. Outside of not receiving utensils, a receipt and the chicken being still a bit too greasy, this was a good experience with room for improvement. This was unexpected as I was the only car in the drive thru and there were no customers inside. I still would like to know how much the 3 wings and a biscuit actually cost as the total was $20.12. for that and a 4 piece, with a biscuit,...
