Just came back from having dinner at Wame. Always good to have new Mediterranean (and Halal) restaurants nearby. Here is what I think.
Approach to restaurant - suddenly on your right hand as you reach the location. Parking is limited and you might have to wait for few cars to leave.
Clean outlook. Good amount of outdoor seating but not really good for a rainy day. It rained the whole day today and all clients were waiting in a very small inside space. Do not go here with family if it is raining.
Only three small (4 ppl) tables inside and one of them is right next to counter where orders are taken. Indoor seating area is not appropriate in size. You’d be lucky if you get a table on arrival, otherwise you might have to wait long. It becomes even weirder and crowded if takeaway clients are waiting inside.
Noise level for dine in was very high. Nonstop arabic music, employee conversations in high volume, intense cooking and cutting with steel utensils can give anyone a major headache. All the noise creates panic and I just wanted to finish my food and leave.
Staff is warm, welcoming and hospitable and asks multiple times if a guest needs anything. Only bad experience was that staff tried to pick my plate thinking that I was done eating. Once I told her that I’m still finishing my food, she dropped the edge of the plate on my phone. Luckily I had cover on my phone so no damage was done.
Restrooms were dirty, although well built.
Food was just ok. We can cook better shawarma at home. We ordered mixed platter and Sovlaki chicken shawarma sandwich. Sandwich didn’t have much meat and was bland in taste and it didn’t come with any dip or sauce. In mixed grill platter, most of the meat was beef boneless chunks and were were hard to chew and not tasty. Chicken boneless cubes were good but were in very small quantity. Beef kofta was reasonably spiced and soft. Sautéed vegetable didn’t look and taste cooked and we felt that we were eating those raw.
Prices - higher than food joints of same size and offering. Prices are almost equivalent to full dine in restaurants such as red lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama breeze etc.
We waited for food for nearly 30 mins from the time of ordering. We observed a couple of takeaway customer who almost waited an hour for their order. To owner’s credit, he tried to take care of them with a couple of dessert gifts. Overall, I suggest to have reasonable time buffer if you plan to go there for dine in or takeaway.
I am not likely to visit this place again as I live 30 mins away and the overall experience today wasn’t worth it. I wish them luck and I hope they improve the quality of their...
Read moreIf you’re on the hunt for a culinary experience that will make your taste buds dance, look no further than Wame Shawarma! I recently had the pleasure of indulging in “The Dynamite” sandwich, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a flavor explosion.
From the moment I walked into Wame Shawarma, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The staff here are not just friendly; they genuinely seem to love what they do, and that passion shines through in every bite of their food. It’s like they’re all in on a delicious secret, and they’re eager to share it with you!
Now, let’s talk about “The Dynamite” sandwich. Picture this: tender, juicy lamb that’s perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, nestled between fresh, fluffy pita bread. The addition of delicious fries adds a delightful crunch that takes this sandwich to a whole new level. And let’s not forget the fresh lettuce and ripe tomatoes that provide a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of the lamb. But the real star of the show? The tzatziki sauce! Creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of garlicky goodness, it ties everything together beautifully.
Every bite was a symphony of flavors, and I found myself savoring each mouthful as if it were a precious treasure. Honestly, I could eat this sandwich every day and never get tired of it. In fact, I might just start a campaign: “Leave all the Dynamite sandwiches for me!” Because let’s be real, once you try it, you’ll understand why I’m making this plea!
The freshness of the ingredients is evident, and you can taste the care that goes into preparing each dish. It’s not just food; it’s a labor of love, and it shows.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a place that serves incredibly delicious, fresh, and tasty food, Wame Shawarma is the spot for you. With their delightful staff and mouthwatering menu, you’ll leave with a full belly and a happy heart. Just remember, if you see me there, kindly step aside and let me have all the “Dynamite” sandwiches - I promise I’ll share a...
Read moreSo I’ll start with saying this : I never write a reviews, but this time I have too . I ordered DoorDash from this restaurant, three meals . Two meals had kebab in it . When I opened the kebab platter and the mix kebab platter I felt the smell ,but didn’t think of anything, untill i tried some . Let me tell you that that kebab tasted very sour . So I called right away to the restaurant to let them know of an issue. On the phone man stated very confident that his meat is always fresh . I said ok ,then I’ll drive there to show otherwise . So I drove 20 min out my house ,got there ,waited another 10 min until the man upfront came up to me , and then showed the food . I told him that it was me who called and here is the food ,if you taste it you will see what I’m taking about . He did tasted it ,and said there is nothing wrong with it !!! Nothing wrong with the clearly BAD taste and smell from the kebab ! I know what fresh kebab should taste like ,and when meat went bad it’s sour . He kept arguing with me for good 20-30 minutes straight!!!! And then had an audacity to threaten me ! The worst costumer service I ever had !!! I never experienced in my life someone looking straight to your face and kept arguing knowing that it’s sour !! So do yourself a favor ,don’t eat there ! Because even if the food is bad the owners will never admit it or even apologize for it , not even trying to make it better , and will disrespect you in...
