Denny's — Restaurant in Loyalsock Township

For someone that has been in the service industry a long time, it's rare for me to say that I hated a dining experience. I understand how things can be at times and that everyone has off days but this was on a while other level of insanity. This place was awful. It wasn't busy and my friend placed my order for me since I was running 20 minutes behind. She placed mine with hers and I still waited 15-20 MORE minutes until my food came out. No one greeted me at the front or asked if I needed anything when I entered.

When I finally found my group and sat down, the server never bothered to ask me if I needed a menu (which I will give the benefit of the doubt was because my friend already put my order in), never given silverware, and was never offered or given a drink! The server didn't even bother to greet me! She didn't hang around the table long enough for me to try to tell her I needed a drink. She didn't ask how things were, never got my friends refills or me a drink at all. She didn't seem unpleasant but she certainly wasnt interested in being a decent server.

My friends got milkshakes and only one came out in a reasonable time. When asked about the 2nd one they gave a lame excuse of "well we can only make one flavor at a time." OK, and? There was at least 30+ minutes between the time the first milkshake came out to the 2nd one arriving. They weren't thick or flavorful. One friend ordered her fries burnt/crispy and they weren't at all. The chicken sandwich looked like the chicken has been cooked tbat morming and then left in a warmer all day. It was so dry and gray/brown looking. The burger was so greasy the bun was literally dissolving. We asked for more napkins and only received one....I can truly and honestly say that this was my first time in a Dennys and will be my last time ever...

I usually wouldn't rate this place due to the fact it's a Dennys and service and quality of food is always up and down. However recently in my opinion the quality and service has been on a high. The wait staff was courteous and tentative. The host, before sitting us down apologized and cleaned the table even though i didn't see anything. The waitress was ontop pf our drinks, never letting them go empty. She took empty plateware to make room quickly. The food was exceptional for a Dennys. I like to think of myself as a burger conesure. I've had burgers from all over, with all kinds of meats and toppers. Dennys has ventured into a new gourmet burger menu with passing grades. I had their breakfast slamburger with seasoned fries. The dippy egg on my burger was cooked perfect as with my medium rare pattie which was not a pre pattied burger. From what i can tell they are hand pattied burgers and taste like they mixed burger and sausage. The burger was excellently cooked. The fries were just pulled from the fryer and they seem to maintain good cooking oil. Over all I was freakin blown away by a Dennys of all places tonight. I want to start off by saying that the waitresses were great. I totally believe in saying something good before saying something bad. So let me start by saying I didn't see one clean seat the whole path we took to our table. Tables were wiped down but the seats looked as if they weren't touched. Including the ones we sat in. For the most part our food was good. However, they over cooked our strawberry pancake balls and hardly cooked our sandwiches and did not add the extra turkey onto my friends sandwich. The entire floor in the place is gross. Looks like they sweep only where you can see cause under our table made me gag. Now, I am a house keeper at a hotel and know a lot about cleaning. So let's talk about their bathrooms now. The floors have not been cleaned in about a week or more. The toilets are what made me mad most of all. The inside of the toilets have not been scrbed in weeks. I can tell this cause being a house keeper if I don't clean the toilets for workers that live there at least once a week the second week they look just like the nasty ones at denys. Get on the ball denys and get your place clean. Be proud of the place you work in and take pride in it!!!! I won't return knowing...
