Bahama Buck's - Lubbock (82nd Street) — Restaurant in Lubbock

Took some kids there after a school banquet and my experience is one that I won’t soon forget.

We arrived at 10:35 (receipt time) went inside and ordered. The kids were having the time of their lives. It was fun watching them have so much fun.

Till...

The manager practically kicked us out. They said they were closing in “3” minutes and she made it a point that we knew the exact time.

The next thing the manager did was turned out the dinning room lights while we were still eating and talking. We were no the only people there.

I went up and told the manager as they tried to herd us out that we were getting ready to leave and they did not have to turn the lights out on us.

The manager looked all of 18 years old. Instead of apologizing she had some smart disrespectful comment.

I was taught to respect my elders and treat people with kindness. Apparently Bahama Bucks does not instill those kind of values in their managers.

I plan on passing this experience along to every parent I know.

I worked here for quite sometime and as much as it’s a fun environment with nice people, it could also be very toxic, stressful and demanding. It’s a minimum wage job (for mainly highschool students), but if you aren’t great with your memory you end up studying like crazy with flash cards and everything, I understand you want your employees to know all the techniques and recipes but there’s no reason it should be this advanced especially (like I said) a Highschool job. At the time I was there my bosses weren’t very personal either, not asking why I was late, because I had gotten very sick, not even really talking to me other than when I put them into a conversation. I believe you should have a good relationship with your boss(es) because how are you able to work cooperatively as a team if not ? Overall I don’t recommend working here but they have great food. I'm done🤬 I had originally wrote a one star review and after speaking with Kippy at the corporate office and some coupon for shaved ice which I hate,I had decided to change my reveiw as she promised change. No changes have been made I ask for a Caribbean soda no ice and 1 scoop of ice cream last time i checked yall had all these ingredients!!! I have got this made a total of 5 times 1 from the 82nd location where the original incident happened and 4 times from the 50th location * now each time the price was diffent as it is not a menu item.
